Administrative Assistant's
UPDATE
If you haven't been a video host before, this can be a
game changer for you. It's not always easy to feel com-
fortable in front of the lens, but when your connections
get to see your face and hear your voice, you're more
likely to build rapport and deepen connections.
If you choose to use videos as a part of your content
mix, there are a few things to remember:
• Be mindful of your lighting. Natural lighting works
best.
• Quality sound is very important. Most devices are
fairly well equipped but background noise can be very
distracting.
• Keep it short & sweet: Most people will only watch
about two minutes, so get right to the point and keep
your message focused on one topic or tip.
• Be energetic: You may feel a bit awkward being so
animated when you're just talking to a phone or com
-
puter, but the more energy you bring, the more likely
your audience will enjoy your enthusiasm.
What kinds of content can you talk about?
• Share a simple tip.
• Interview a colleague about what they like best about
their job.
• Do a product demo or talk about how your company
helps your customers.
• Take people on a behind-the-scenes tour.
Almost any kind of content you would publish can
be turned into a video. Collaborate with your marketing
team to see if you can brainstorm on some unique ways
you can add video to your marketing mix.
