Vision: $350 maximum benefit, includes corrective eye surgery. Paramedical: $500 per year for massage therapy, chiropractic services. Life insurance: Coverage of $50,000. Pension: Employees may par- ticipate in union's registered money purchase pension plan. Employer will contribute based on years of service: 1% to start, 2% after 6 years, 4% after 10 years, 5% after 15 years. Owner- operators may join USW, Local 1976 Pension Trust Fund and will be required to contribute $200 per month. Bereavement leave: After 6 months of service, 5 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child, parent, sister, brother. 3 days for death of step- parent, father-in-law, mother- in-law, grandchild, grandpar- ent. 2 additional days without pay, if requested. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Probationary period: 30 days, 400 hours for owner-operators. Severance: After 1 year of ser- vice, 1 week's pay per year of service, minimum 2 weeks' pay.
