Vacations with pay: 3 weeks to start, 15 days after 1 year, 16 days after 3 years, 17 days after 4 years, 18 days after 5 years, 19 days after 6 years, 20 days after 7 years, 21 days after 10 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for work in excess of 173 hours per pay period. May be taken as time off. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Queen's Supplementary Medi- cal Plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Queen's Dental Plan. Sick leave: 9 days per year (pre- viously 6 days per year). Unused time may be carried over into next year. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 55% of premiums, employee pays 45% of premiums. Pension: Employees may join Queen's Pension Plan after 2 years of employment. Sample rates of annual pay (current, after 2.6% increase): Minimum base salary: $34,000 rising 2 steps to $34,900 Editor's notes: Union facilities: Union will have access to the following additional services of employer at standard internal user rates: telephone services, audio-visual services, reprographic services, internet access, web-page ac- cess. Research-related expenses: Employees will be reimbursed for personal certifications, licensing (professional, motor vehicle) and registration fee that are required to complete research. Social justice fund: $0.01 per hour from wages of employees in bargaining unit — who have elected to participate — for all hours to PSAC Social Justice Fund. Childcare benefit plan: For employees with at least 1 eligible child younger than 7 with respect to daycare, and at least 1 eligible child younger than 12: $55,000 combined annual maximum for reimbursements that will be paid to all em- ployees in bargaining unit. Maximum $2,000 per child per year. GASES PRODUCTION Air Liquide Canada Edmonton (49 technicians, operators, welders, mechanics) and Unifor, Local 777 Renewal agreement: Effective July 3, 2017, to Jan. 31 2021. Ratified July 3, 2017. Signed on Aug. 25, 2017. Shift premium: $1.26 per hour for afternoon shift. $1.38 per hour for night shift. $2.10 per hour for employees working on continuous operations on Sundays. $1.30 per hour for lead hands. $0.95 per hour when truck driver is hauling pup trail- er. $0.95 per hour to mainten- ance-shop mechanics who have CVIP license. Paid holidays: 11 days, plus half day on day before Christ- mas and half day on day before New Year's. Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 19 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after regular hours. Double time after 10 or 14 hours of work and on employ- ee's first, second, subsequent scheduled weekly days of rest. May be banked, maximum 48 hours. Meal allowance: $12.50 for extra 2 hours of overtime after completing regular shift, and for each additional 4-hour pe- riod. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan and group insurance plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Vision: 100% coverage for eye examination, maximum 1 per person every 2 years. Paramedical: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. $450 maximum per year for licensed physiotherapist, massage thera- pist. $300 maximum per year for licensed psychologist, li- censed acupuncturist, licensed osteopath, naturopath or ho- meopath. $500 maximum per year for licensed chiropractor, including X-ray. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 70% of base weekly earnings, maxi- mum 48 weeks, from first work- ing day of non-occupational ac- cident or from fourth working day of sickness. LTD: After employee has been disabled for 48 weeks, plan provides 60% of employee's earnings, maximum $3,000 per month. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for cover- age of 1-times annual salary, minimum $58,000 (including AD&D coverage). Pension: Pension Plan of Air Liquide Canada. Employee con- tributes 5% (defined benefits module) or 4% (defined con- tribution module); employer contributes 5% (defined con- tribution module). Employer will further match additional 2% of employee contributions (defined contribution module). Employees hired after Jan. 1, 2007, will be enrolled into de- fined contribution module. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, parents, child. 3 days for death of brother, sister, mother-in-law, father- in-law, brother-in-law, sister- in-law, grandparents. 1 day for death of grandchild. Employer will consider further time off when employee must travel more than 500 kilometres 1 way to attend funeral. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year, 18 months after 3 years of service. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay at regular rate. Probationary period: 90 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for minor offenses, 24 months for major offenses. Severance: 2 weeks' pay plus 2 weeks' pay for each year of continuous service, after 1 year of service. Safety shoes: $190 for regular CSA-approved safety shoes, $215 for CSA-approved meta- tarsal safety boots (employee regularly classified as shipper- receiver/truck driver). Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide hard hats, gloves, non-prescription safety glasses, rubber boots, rainwear, win- ter protection. Employer will provide up to 2 pairs of fire- resistant coveralls per week and 1 additional pair of non-fire- resistant coveralls per week to truck drivers and up to 5 pairs of coveralls per week and 1 ad- ditional pair of fire-resistant coveralls per week to mainte- nance shop employees.
