Ratified on June 5, 2016. Signed on June 5, 2016. Shift premium: Time and one- half after 10 hours worked on any night shift. $1 per hour for all work on night shift. Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: 10% per week. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 50 hours per week. Double time for all work on Sunday or for working sixth shift in week. Medical benefits: Employer will pay $2.80 per hour (pre- viously $2.70 per hour) per employee into Teamsters Lo- cal Union No. 230 Members Benefits Fund. Effective May 1, 2018: $2.90. Pension: Teamsters Canadian Pension Plan. Probationary period: 14 days. Mileage: $0.25 per kilometre from 40 kilometres up to 80 kilometres radius both ways. From 80-kilometre radius, employee will be paid $0.25 per kilometre both ways, plus $3.60 per day. No mileage paid within 40-kilometre radius of employer's yard. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 5% increase): Truck driver (triple-axle, tan- dem-tandem): $32 rising 2 steps to $33.60 Float driver: $33.40 rising 2 steps to $35 Truck driver (tandem, fuel- truck driver): $31.50 rising 2 steps to $33.10 Truck driver (single-axle): $31.35 rising 2 steps to $32.95 Truck driver/articulate off-road (dump truck): $31.75 rising 2 steps to $33.35 Editor's notes: Equipment condition: No employee will be compelled to take out equipment, which in opinion of employer's master mechanic, or deputy named by company involved, is not in good mechanical condition. Enhance- ment fund: Employer will pay $0.30 per hour into Teamsters Local Union No. 230 Enhancement Fund. SENIOR CARE Mount Royal Care Centre Calgary (96 nurses, aides, cooks, maintenance staff ) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 8 Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 1, 2016, to Oct. 31, 2018. Ratified on Aug. 9, 2017. Signed on Feb. 21, 2018. Wage adjustments: Effective Nov. 1, 2016: 1% Effective May 1, 2017: 1% Effective Nov. 1, 2017: 1% Effective May 1, 2018: 1% Shift premium: $3.25 per hour (previously $2.60 per hour) when majority of shift falls dur- ing 56-hour period beginning at 11 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Monday. $3 per hour (previ- ously $2.50 per hour) when ma- jority of shift falls between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. $2.25 per hour (previously $2 per hour) when majority of shift falls between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 10 days to start, 10 days after 1 year, 15 days after 2 years, 20 days after 6 years, 25 days after 12 years, 30 days after 17 years. 5 addi- tional days after employee's 20th and 30th anniversaries. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked 7.5 hours per shift or 75 hours bi-weekly or more than 6 consecutive days. Time and one-half for all hours worked 7.75 hours per shift or 77.5 hours bi-weekly for licensed practical nurses. May be taken as time off, no later than 60 days from date over- time worked. Meal allowance: Meal ticket for employees working more than 3.5 hours of overtime, to be used within that shift or next shift if kitchen isn't open. Medical benefits: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employ- ee pays 10% of premiums for extended health benefits plan. Dental: 85% coverage for basic treatment. 50% coverage for major treatment (crowns, bridges, major restorative pro- cedures). Maximum $1,750 per person per year, for basic and major treatments combined. Vision: Employer pays 90% of premiums, employee pays 10% of premiums for $200 every 24 months per employee and de- pendants. Sick leave: 1 1/4 days per each month of seniority, maximum 100 days. Employees will be credited with 3.75 days after completing probation. LTD: Employees pay 100% of premiums for 66.7% of first $1,500 of basic monthly earnings, plus 50% of excess earnings, provided employee is totally disabled from work for more than 17 weeks. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for cover- age of $20,000, which includes AD&D coverage. Pension: Employer will match employee contributions, max- imum 2.5% into employer-ad- ministered RRSP. Employee may contribute further 2.5%. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death of mother, father, husband, wife, son, daughter, stepchildren, brother, sister, common-law spouse, same- sex partner. 3 days for death of grandparents, grandchildren, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, aunt, uncle. Additional 1 or 2 days for travel more than 300 kilometres. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Probationary period: 3 months, 487.5 hour for part- time employees, 503.75 hours for licensed practical nurses. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months, 18 months if discipline is related to resident abuse.
