Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2017: 1.5% Effective Jan. 1, 2018: 1.5% Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 1.5% Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 1.5% (Increase will be greater of 1.5% or September increase of all items consumer price index for Prince Edward Island (not sea- sonally adjusted) published by Statistics Canada, compared to same Sept. 1 year earlier. 2002 index will be used.) Shift premium: $2.75 per hour for working on evening or night shift beginning at 6 p.m. and on weekends from 6 p.m. on Friday to 7 a.m. on Monday. $0.25 per hour for all bilingual staff. $0.50 per hour for welder-certificate allowance. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 0.83 days per month, maximum 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for work after regular hours. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employ- ee pays 50% of premiums. Pension: Employer contributes 6% to RRSP, employee contrib- utes 6%. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child, stepchild, parent. 3 days for death of grandparent, brother, sister, parent-in-law, spouse of parent-in-law. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sis- ter-in-law. Up to 1 day for death of grandchild, aunt, uncle, nephew, niece. Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours of regular pay per call or at overtime rate, whichever is greater, plus $0.36-per-kilo- metre transportation allowance or out-of-pocket expenses for other means of commercial transportation. Probationary period: 90 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Safety shoes: $300 per year (previously $260 per year) for maintenance employee or pa- troller. $150 per year (previous- ly $130 per year) for operations employee, may be carried over into following year, maximum $300.
