Standby: $100 for each 24-hour period on call with pager and employee must live within 3 kilometres of plant location. Prescription safety glasses: Employer will pay for prescription safety glasses as necessary. Employees will be allowed to purchase glasses from optometrist of their choice, provided glasses conform to CSA standard Z195-1970. Eye examinations relating to prescription safety glasses will be covered once each 12-month period. First aid: Employer will provide training for all interested employees in first aid and CPR applications. All employees taking training will be paid at straight-time rate of pay; training will be held on shift when possible. Paid education leave: Employer will pay $0.01 per hour per employee for all compensated hours for paid education leave. Early production exit plan: If senior employee meets requirements and is looking to retire or resign earlier than retirement plan, employer will offer $15,000 as retire- ment package for those 50 years old with 20 years of service. Hearing aids: $2,500 every 3 years for employees and depen- dants. Orthopedic shoes: $500 per pair every 12 months for custom-fitted orthopedic shoes. $400 per pair maximum of $1,200 every 12 months for inserts.
