of hours are worked between 3 p.m. and 7 a.m. $0.25 per hour for each hour worked between 11 p.m. Friday and 11 p.m. Sun- day. Time and one-half for all hours which fall within 11-hour turnaround time for employees who work shift that commences within 11 hours of completing previous shift. Paid holidays: 12 days includ- ing 1 floating day. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks af- ter 1 year, 3 weeks after 2 years, 4 weeks after 7 years, 5 weeks after 12 years, 6 weeks after 16 years, 7 weeks after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for hours of work in excess of 7.5 per day or 37.5 per week, and for all hours worked on paid holiday. Meal allowance: $6 for employ- ees who work 2 hours of over- time or 1 meal provided. Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employ- ee pays 20% of premiums for extended health care plan. Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums for Dental Blue Cross #9 ODA minus 1 year. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $300 every 24 months, including 1 eye exam. Paramedical: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 2 pairs of orthotics every 30 months up to $400. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Sick leave: Any employee off work due to sickness and who has no further weekly indem- nity credits is deemed to be on unpaid leave of absence due to illness up to 12 months maxi- mum, with no seniority accrual. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 2 times employee salary. Pension: Employer and em- ployee contribute to OMERS Pension Plan in accordance with legislation and terms of plan. Bereavement leave: 4 paid days for death of spouse, child, stepchild. 3 paid days for death of parent, stepparent, parent-in- law, sibling, sibling-in-law, legal guardian, grandparent, grand- child, child-in-law. 1 paid day to attend funeral of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, or to attend as pallbearer. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months for layoffs. Call-in pay: 3 hours at appli- cable premium rates. Probationary period: 65 shifts. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for particulars of work performance which led to disci- pline (records relating to sexual or moral misconduct, physical assault or resident abuse may be considered in disciplinary matters). Severance: 1 week's notice for less than 1 year of service, 2 weeks for 1 year of service, 1 week's notice for each year of employment after 3 years of ser- vice, up to 8 weeks maximum. Uniforms/clothing: Where employer requires full-time or regular part-time employee to be in uniform, compensating al- lowance of $0.07 per hour. May be cancelled by either party with 10 calendar weeks' notice. Orthotic coverage: 2 pairs every 30 months, maximum $400 per pair. LABOUR UNIONS Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) Edmonton (219 labour union employees) and the Alberta Union of Labour Relations Professionals (AULReP) Renewal agreement: Effective June 30, 2021 to Jan. 31, 2022. Signed on June 30, 2021. Shift premium: Employee replacing employee at higher- rated position for 1 full day or more will receive higher-rated pay for period employed pro- viding employee fulfills princi- pal duties of higher-rated job. $2 per hour for employees who provide training/preceptorship to other employees. $2 per hour for employees assigned to do additional duties as administra- tive team-lead for administra- tive professionals and clerks. Paid holidays: 11 days plus 1 civic holiday, 1 Christmas floater day. Vacations with pay: 1.25 days per month to start, 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 3 years, 25 days after 9 years, 30 days after 14 years, 35 days after 19 years. 5 additional work days on 1-time basis only for employee who has completed 25 years of service. Overtime: Time and one-half for first 2 hours of work after scheduled daily hours; double time after 2 hours of overtime. For those employees not eli- gible for overtime, they will be credited 5 days off for every 3 months worked; employees who work on Saturday will be paid time and one-half; double time for work on Sunday. Em- ployees may take time off in lieu but it will be paid out at Dec. 31 each year. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Em- ployer will deposit $1,650 (pre- viously $1,500) into employee flexible health/personal spend- ing account each year. Any unused allocation as of Dec. 31 of each year may be carried for- ward, maximum 1 year. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Sick leave: Every permanent employee will be entitled to ill- ness leave of 85 days at full pay. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Employer will pay monthly: 14% of employee's actual earnings, up to normal monthly salary, into AUPE staff pension plan (or when employ- ee is not member of plan, RRSP of employee's choice). Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parents, guardian, parent-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, son, daughter, brother, sister, or husband or wife of any of them; person residing in employee's house- hold).
