COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS year after layoffs. 12 months for employees on LTD on pre-dis- ability classification; 36 months on their classification (any loca- tion) as long as employment relationship continues. For employees who are seconded, seniority will cease to accrue on day employee begins out-of- scope position; employee's se- niority will be frozen until they return to bargaining unit. Probationary period: 6 months from date of hire. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for disciplinary cor- respondence. All absences for illness or leaves of absence lon- ger than 30 calendar days will not count towards fulfillment of 12-month period. Severance: 1 month's salary for each year of service, maximum 12 months. Safety shoes: Employer will provide $200 (previously $130) to permanent employees in following classifications: cus- todian, building-maintenance custodian, building-mainte- nance coordinator, clerks 1, 2, 3 (mailroom), for safety footwear or special footwear that must be worn during work hours and will be replaced as necessary by employer. Tool allowance: Employer will provide attaché cases and such other equipment employer con- siders necessary for employee to effectively and safely perform duties. Mileage: $0.52 per kilometre for employee who uses own vehicle on behalf of employer. Employer will provide $900 per month (previously $875 per month) for union representa- tives, MSOs, sr. MSOs, advisor, organizer. sr. organizer advi- sors, senior research advisors, senior digital strategies advi- sors, communications depart- ment coordinators (plus $0.12 per kilometre when vehicle incurs overage of more than 25,000 AUPE business kilome- tres per year); employer will pay full cost of vehicle plates and insurance including spouse coverage, maximum $3,000 per year; employee will be provided with credit card to purchase gas and oil. Moving allowances: Employer will pay for cost of transportation of household effects and incidental expenses associated with change of residence, maximum $500, when employees are required to change place of domicile.
