COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS Shift premium: 110% for any employee who works under- ground. $0.25 per hour for any employee who performs acid-proof or refractory work. 115% for foreperson (defined as journeyperson who rou- tinely issue orders or provides direction to employees; where 3 or more bricklayers or ma- sons are employed, 1 will be appointed as foreperson). $6 per hour worked on any shift which begins between 3:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. (afternoon shift); $6 per hour worked on any shift which begins between 8:30 p.m. and before 1:01 a.m. (night shift) and no shift premium will be pay- able for work performed on Saturday, Sunday or statutory holiday. Paid holidays: 12 days plus Friday preceding BC Day, Friday preceding Labour Day. Employee will receive annual vacation pay of 6%; statutory holiday pay of 6% (combined to 12%). Upon termination, employee will receive all annual vacation pay and statutory holi- day pay owing. Vacations with pay: Employee may take up to 3 weeks of va- cation in any calendar year. Overtime: Time and one-half first 2 hours of overtime Mon- day through Friday. Double time for all other overtime, and all overtime on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holi- days. Time and one-half for first 10 overtime hours worked Friday of Monday through Thursday compressed work- week; on Monday of Tuesday through Friday compressed workweek. Double time for work after 10 hours per day and all hours worked on Sun- days and statutory holidays. Time and one-half for first 10 hours of overtime on Satur- days. Meal allowance: Hot meal will be supplied by employer, at no cost to employee, if working shift is longer than 10 hours and at 4-hour intervals thereafter. If employer is un- able to provide hot meal, each employee will receive meal al- lowance of $25 in lieu thereof. Medical benefits: Employee will contribute $3 per hour to Bricklayers and Masons Wel- fare Plan. Pension: Employee will con- tribute $3.65 per hour to Brick- layers and Masons Pension Fund. Probationary period: 90 working days. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply waterproof gloves and aprons to employees engaged in cutting on wet masonry saw or washing down masonry. HEALTH CARE Board of Health Middlesex-London Health Unit London, Ont. (267 nurses) and the Ontario Nurses' Association (ONA) Renewal agreement: Effec- tive April 1, 2021 to March 31, 2025. Ratified in May 2021. Signed on June 7, 2021. Wage adjustments: Effective April 1, 2021: 1.5% Effective April 1, 2022: 1.8% Effective April 1, 2023: 2% Effective April 1, 2024: 2% Shift premium: $3 per hour for all hours worked on Satur- days. Paid holidays: 12 days includ- ing 1 float day, plus last half of working days preceding Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Vacations with pay: 1.67 days per paid month of employ- ment up to maximum of 20 days per year to start, 2.8 days per paid month of employ- ment up to 25 days per year af- ter 10 years, 2.5 days per paid month of employment up to 30 days per year after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for time worked beyond 70 hours in 2-week pay period. Double time for hours worked on Sundays. Meal allowance: $14 when registered nurse has evening assignment onsite or in com- munity scheduled, which re- quires work-day of 10 continu- ous hours or more. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for extended health care plan in- cluding drug coverage with no deductible and paramedical services. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage for 100% of basic services and 50% co-insurance for major dental services up to $2,500 per year; 50% co-insurance for orthodontic up to lifetime maximum of $2,500. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $525 every 24 months and up to $1,000 over 5 years for hear- ing aid. 1 eye exam every 24 months up to $110. Sick leave: 1.5 days for each month of service up to 180 days for full-time nurses, pro- rated for part-time nurses. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 2 times salary up to $130,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for cover- age of 2 times salary up to $130,000. Pension: OMERS Pension Plan. Employer provides for addendum to OMERS plan to provide for RNs who retire before 65 with 10 or more years of continuous service with employer to OMERS pen- sion and who are members of respective benefit plans at retirement where premiums are paid wholly by employer, continuation of such benefits until 65 and employer will continue to pay full premiums for these plans until 65 where RN will be responsible to pay any subsequent increase in premium rates. Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of spouse, child, child-in-law, stepchild, grandchild, parent, steppar- ent, sibling, stepsibling. 3 paid days for death of grandparent, sibling-in-law, parent-in-law. 1 paid day for death of grandpar- ent-in-law, uncle, aunt, cousin, nephew, niece. May be extend- ed by up to 2 days at discretion of employer. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours plus $3 if on Saturday and less than 35 hours in 1 week or $2 at overtime rate. Probationary period: 455 hours worked.
