Signed on Nov. 2, 2017. Shift premium: 3% of regular rate of pay in addition to regular rate of pay or minimum salary for higher-paid position — whichever is greater — when employee qualifies in acting incumbency position. $1.50 per hour when working shift where at least one-half of hours are between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. $1.50 for each hour (previously $1.25 for each hour) worked from midnight Friday to midnight Sunday. Paid holidays: 12 days, plus one-half day on Christmas Eve, plus 1 floater day. Vacations with pay: 1 day per month to start, 15 days after 1 year, 30 days after 5 years. Overtime: Double time (previ- ously time and one-half ) for all work after regular hours. May be banked, maximum 80 hours and must be taken within 12 months. Medical benefits: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employ- ee pays 15% of premiums for Al- berta Health Care. Employees will receive $400 per year for flex spending account. Effective Jan. 1, 2018: $500 per year. Dental: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums. Vision: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employ- ee pays 15% of premiums. Sick leave: One-half day per month, maximum 120 days.
