Time and one-half for first 2 hours on Saturday or scheduled day off, double time thereafter and on Sundays and second day of rest. May be banked, maximum 160 hours at any one time. Meal allowance: $22 when em- ployee works more than 2 hours before or after shift; when em- ployee works more than 6 hours beyond shift; when employee is on call-in or scheduled day off (after 4 hours and 9 hours). Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for B.C. Government Medical Plan and Pacific Blue Cross Extended Health Benefit Plan at 90% coverage. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for 100% coverage for plan A expenses; 70% cover- age for plan B expenses; 65% coverage for plan C expenses with maximum orthodontic coverage of $5,000. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $550 (previously $500) per family member every 2 years for eyeglass, contact lens coverage; $110 (previously $100) per family member every 2 years for eye examinations. Paramedical: Employer pays 100% of premiums for $900 per year (previously $800 per year) for chiropractic, naturopath- ic; $2,000 per year for speech therapist; $1,000 per year for psychologist; $900 per year (previously $800 per year) for acupuncture treatments; $600 per year for podiatrist; $1,000 per year (previously $800 per year) for physiotherapist, mas- sage therapist. Sick leave: 24 hours for outside employees, 21 hours for inside employees. LTD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for 70% of wages (previously 60%), maximum $6,000 per month. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $125,000. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, same-sex spouse, common-law spouse, fiancé(e), children, stepchildren, legal ward, grandchildren, parents, stepparents, grandparents, brothers, sisters, parents and stepparents of employee's spouse (including same-sex, common-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law)). 2 additional days for travel, when required. One-half day to attend funeral as pallbearer. Leave in excess of 2 per year will be without pay. Seniority – recall rights: 6 months; 12 months after 2 years of service; 15 months after 5 years of service; 18 months after 10 years of service. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay at double time. Probationary period: 6 months for regular employees; 1,200 hours for part-time, tem- porary, casual employees. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: 1 week's current pay for each year of service with less than 3 years' service. 3 weeks' current pay for first year; one-half month's current pay after 2 years of service with 3 or more years of service. Max- imum 6 months' current pay for all severance. Safety shoes: $225 per year for proper safety boots. May be carried over into following year, maximum $450. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide proper clothing to accommodate employees affected by inclement weather and sub-zero conditions. Tool allowance: $500 per year for personal tools required of mechanics.
