Effective first Sunday in March 2019: $1.65 per hour. Effective first Sunday in March 2021: $1.70 per hour. Pension: Employees will have choice of contributing to either employer's group RSP plan or Operating Engineers Pension Trust Fund. Employer will pay 5% of regular base rate for all hours worked into Operating Engineers Pension Trust Fund. Bereavement leave: 24 hours off for death of spouse, child, stepchild, sister, sister-in-law, brother, brother-in-law, mother, father, mother-in-law, father-in- law, grandchild, grandparent, aunt, uncle. Seniority – recall rights: 4 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' work or 4 hours of pay at over- time rate provided work is not contiguous with employee's regular shift. Probationary period: 90 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for warnings; 30 months for suspensions. Safety shoes: $225 per year for boots and clothing. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: $300 per year. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply goggles, gloves, welder's gloves, rubber clothes and boots, coveralls, hardhats, moulded hearing protection, safety glasses. Employer will provide 10 pairs of coveralls to each employee through coverall service that launders, repairs, replaces worn-out coveralls. Employer will maintain 6 pairs of spare coveralls if employee requires spare set. Tool allowance: Employer will pay for recalibration of mechanic torque wrenches as required. $1 per hour for mech- anics, apprentice mechanics. $0.50 per hour for welders, ap- prentice welders. Mileage: $40 when an em- ployee is assigned to field work outside of travel-free zone (es- tablished from Acheson shop at 45 kilometres by shortest public road). Applies only for sites within 100 kilometres from Acheson shop. $0.54 per kilometre for kilometres driven outside travel-free zone. Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. 100% of expenses covered (based on Alberta den- tal fee guide). Sick leave: 1 1/4 days per month, maximum 60 days ac- cumulated. Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $25,000. Pension: After 1,040 hours of service, employer, employee will make matching contribu- tions to RRSP. Maximum 4% after 1 year of service; maxi- mum 5% after 5 years of service; maximum 6% after 10 years of service; maximum 7% after 15 years of service. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, partner, daughter, son, sister, brother, mother, father, parent- in-law, brother or sister-in-law, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, grandparents, step-family members). 2 additional days if funeral is 250 miles away.
