LOGISTICS ATCO Structures and Logistics Moose Jaw, Sask. (32 technicians, carpenters, locksmiths, firefighters, mechanics, HVAC specialists, labourers, millwrights, plumbers) and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2018, to Dec. 31, 2020. Signed on June 11, 2018. Shift premium: $1.25 per hour for all hours worked, including overtime hours, between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. (premium will not be paid for hours worked between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.). $1.25 per hour for employee's scheduled straight-time hours and overtime hours worked on Saturday, Sunday and designat- ed paid holidays. $1.85 per hour for FMO employees who are assigned additional responsibil- ities during midnight to 8 a.m. shift of making determination on use of anti-icing chemicals, and type of SNIC Program that will be utilized (short- or full-program), depending on actual or forecasted weather conditions. Paid holidays: 10 days, plus 1 float day in lieu of Easter Mon- day and additional 2 float days. Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 18 years, 25 years after 30 days. Overtime: Time and one-half for each hour worked in excess of employee's normal scheduled daily hours or for each hour worked on first and second day of rest. When employee is required to work overtime, and is required to use caregiver as other parent is not available to care for dependant, employee will be reimbursed for reason- able out-of-pocket expenses. May be banked, maximum 48 hours or 6 working days. May be taken as compensatory leave. Overtime earned with last 3 months of fiscal year, may be carried over but request must be made by Nov. 30. Meal allowance: Employer will supply meal at on-site din- ing facility or if dining facility is closed, reimbursement for employee who works 3 or more hours of overtime and for each subsequent 3 hours of overtime. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Weekly indemnity: Employee pays 100% of premiums. Sick leave: 5 days per year. One-half day per year for med- ical, dental appointments. STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Employee contributes 4%, employer contributes 6% to DC pension plan. Employees may contribute to voluntary RRSP. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, step- mother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, common-law spouse resident with employee, child, child of common-law spouse, stepchild, ward of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, grandfather- in-law, grandmother-in-law, grandchild, daughter-in-law, son-in law, relative residing in employee's household). 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sis- ter-in-law. Additional 3 days for travel. One-half day for death of distant relative, close personal friend. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year. Call-in pay: Pay for time ac- tually worked or minimum of 2 hours' pay at applicable over- time rate, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 3 years. Severance: 2 weeks' pay for each of first, second and third year of employment subsequent to May 15, 1998, and 1 week's pay for each additional year of employment thereafter for layoffs. One-half week's pay for each year of employment subse- quent to May 15, 1998, after 20 years of service, maximum 26 years, maximum 13 weeks' pay for resignations. 1 week's pay for each year of employment subsequent to Jan. 1, 2000, max- imum benefit of 28 weeks when employee has completed more than 1 year of employment and ceases to be employed by rea- son of incapacity. Safety shoes: Employer will provide $200 per year (pre- viously $130 per year) for CSA-approved safety footwear that must be selected and pur- chased from supplier approved by employer. Uniforms/clothing: Uniforms, appropriate protective clothing, including winter boots, will be provided to employees who are required to wear them on duty. Employees who are issued clothing will receive $300 per year for upkeep. Employer will supply 1 parka, snow pants, if required, to employees who work outdoors on regular basis. Standby: 1 hour at hourly rate of pay for each 8 consecutive hours or portion while on standby. Dirty-work allowance: One-half hourly rate of pay for every 15-minute period, or part thereof, worked when employee performs clean-up duties and is required to come into physical contact with pollutant while engaged in cleaning up of fuel or oil spills in excess of 200 litres which resulted from mechanical failure, bunkering or fu- el-transfer operations. First aid: Employer will assume costs of training employees designated as first-aid attendants. Employees selected for first-aid training will be granted time off with pay to attend courses. Current certificates cov- ering St. John's first aid, and CPR will be provided.
