Sick leave: 5 sick days per year after minimum 1 year of se- niority. Effective Jan. 1, 2019: Unused sick days over course of year will be paid out at $100 per day. This will be paid out in first pay day in December. Engineer- ing employees who work alter- nate schedule of 12 hours shift will get 48 hours of sick-time paid equalling 4 days. Pension: Employer will contrib- ute $0.75 per hour (previously $0.60 per hour) worked for each full-time employee into Ontario United Food and Commercial Workers Union Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (hus- band, wife, child, father, mother, brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents or grandparents of employee's spouse, stepchil- dren, stepparents, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, same-sex partner). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 5 hours of pay at regular rate or hours worked, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 90 cal- endar days worked for full-time; 180 calendar days for part-time. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Uniforms/clothing: Doorman, valet employees: Employer will provide long johns, scarves, appropriate headwear, gloves in winter; in summer, employer will provide short-sleeve white shirts and ties (and hats for doormen). Driveway employ- ees will be allowed to wear UV protection sunglasses as dictated by company policy. Room attendants may, at time of next approved individual uniform change or at time of hire, choose from either dress- based uniform or slacks-based uniform. Employer will supply gloves, hats to employees en- gaged in outside banquet cater- ing functions during fall, winter and spring. Tool allowance: $85 (previ- ously $75) per collective agree- ment year to employees in cook 1, cook 2 and pantry-cook classifications, after 1 year of seniority, for purchase or main- tenance of knives. $50 per year, less deductions required by law, to employees in maintenance department. Ratified on March 29, 2018. Signed on May 11, 2018. Shift premium: $1 per hour for work between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. $2.50 per hour for work be- tween 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. $2 per hour for foreman in charge at each plant location. $1 per hour for junior lead-hand at each plant location. $1 per hour for employee safety representative assigned within bargaining unit. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 12 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 21 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for first 8 hours of Saturday, double time thereafter. Time and one-half for first 4 hours, after 8 hours Monday through Friday, double time thereafter. Double time for all work on Sunday. May be banked, maxi- mum 40 straight-time hours Meal allowance: $10 if em- ployee works 12 hours per shift, provided overtime is un- scheduled (if employee has not been notified in person at least 2 hours prior to quitting time on previous day or overtime requirements have not been identified on shift-scheduling tape). Medical benefits: Employer will pay $1.50 for each hour worked (previously $1.45 per hour) by each employee into Operating Engineers Local 955 Health and Wellness Trust Fund. Employer pays 50% of cost of Alberta Health Care pre- miums, employee pays 50%. Pension: Employer will pay $4.50 for each hour worked (previously $4.25 per hour) by each employee into Operating
