(80 operators, mechanical, maintenance employees, drivers) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 787 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2022. Ratified on June 27, 2019. Signed on Aug. 15, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective 2019: 1.9% Effective 2020: 2% Effective 2021: 0.6% Effective 2022: 2% Shift premium: $1.75 per hour for any hours worked outside 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Mon- day through Friday) and for all hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays. Effective Jan. 1, 2022: $2 per hour. $1.75 per hour for team leader. Effective Jan. 1, 2022: $2 per hour. Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 1 floating holiday per year (2 per year after 15 years of service). Floating holidays may be ac- crued, maximum 4 days. Vacations with pay: 120 hours to start, 160 hours after 6 years, 200 hours after 12 years, 240 hours after 19 years, 280 hours after 27 years, 320 hours after 33 years. Hours may be accumulated, maximum 400 hours. Overtime: Double time for all work outside regular shift, on days off or on holidays. Time may be banked, maximum 80 hours per year. Employer will pay out any remaining banked overtime on first pay day in De- cember. Overtime accumulating during December can be carried over into next calendar year. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Sick leave: 12.8 hours for every month of employment, max- imum 1,440 hours. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Every eligible employ- ee will join Local Authorities Pension Plan (LAPP). Employ- er will match RRSP or TFSA or other group savings plans contributions to extent legally permissible for LAPP-eligible employees, maximum 2.5% (previously 2%) of employee's base annual salary. Bereavement leave: After 3 months of service, 7 days for death in immediate family or step relative (son, daughter, current spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, parent of current spouse, son-in-law, daughter- in-law, grandparent, grand- child, sister-in-law, brother- in-law, grandparent of spouse, legal guardian). 2 additional days for travel time if distance travelled is in excess of 450 kilo- metres from Grande Prairie. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay at overtime rates. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months. Safety shoes: $400 for CSA- approved safety footwear, after 12 months of service. On Jan. 1 of every odd-numbered year, allowance will be refurbished. Standby: Minimum 1 hour's pay (regular rate) for each 8-hour period in standby shift. If shift is less than 8 hours, employee will be paid for 1 hour. For day of rest or holiday, employee will receive minimum 3 hours' pay (regular rate). Service recognition: 1-time service recognition will be paid to employee on anniversary date: $200 for 5 years of service; $300 for 10 years of service; $400 for 15 years of service; $600 for 20 years of service; $800 for 25 years of service; $1,000 for 30 years of service; $1,200 for 31 years of service. Prescription safety glasses: Maximum $300 (previously $200), on even-numbered years, for employee prescription safety glasses. Overnight stay: $75 for employees who stay overnight at or near remote work sites. Tool allowance: $900 per year to journeymen/apprentice tradespersons.
