Signed on June 11, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective April 1, 2018: 1% Effective Oct. 1, 2018: 1% Effective April 1, 2019: 1.25% Effective April 1, 2020: 1% Effective Oct. 1, 2020: 1% Shift premium: $3 per hour for work between 5 p.m. and 8 a.m. $3 per hour for work between 7 p.m. Friday and 8 a.m. Monday. $1 per hour for first-in-charge RN role. Paid holidays: 11 days plus 1 floating holiday which must be taken prior to Nov. 30 in each year. Vacations with pay: 9.375 hours for each 162.5 hours worked to start, 12.5 hours for each 162.5 hours worked after 5 years, 15.625 hours for each 162.5 hours worked after 15 years, 19.375 hours for each 162.5 hours worked after 25 years. 1 day ex- tra leave on 25th anniversary of employment and every 5-year anniversary thereafter. Max- imum 75 hours per year may be carried over from year to next. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 or 11.25 hours per day or 37.5 hours per week. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employ- ee pays 50% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, maximum 215 days. AD&D: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for mandatory coverage. Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for group life insurance plan. Pension: Civil Service Super- annuation Fund. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (par- ent, stepparent (includes natural parent, guardian, foster-parent, person(s) standing in loco par- entis), spouse, child, stepchild, ward of employee, including child of common-law spouse, grandchild, grandparent). 3 days for death of brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, moth- er- in-law, father-in-law, broth- er-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in- law, daughter-in-law, relative permanently residing with employee. 1 day to attend funer- al or memorial/burial service of aunt, uncle, nephew, niece, great-grandchild, great-grand- parent, or in case of employee scheduled to work nights, time to rest prior to or after attending funeral or memorial/burial ser- vice. 2 additional days if funeral or memorial/burial service is in distant area and travel time is re- quired. One-half to attend funer- al or memorial/burial service as pallbearer, flower bearer, reader. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours' pay for each call-in (double time for each additional hour of con- tiguous overtime after 7.5 hours of call-in work). If employee is called in to work, minimum of $6 per call and maximum $20, will be paid out for transporta- tion costs. Probationary period: 675 working hours from date of completion of orientation period. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: 75 hours pay for each 1,950 hours of service, maximum 975 hours. Uniforms/clothing: $100 per year for uniform or lab coat with RN/NP logo embroidered on it. Mileage: Minimum $6.25 per day (previously $6 per day) or per-kilometre rates as estab- lished by provincial govern- ment (treasury board), which- ever is greater, for short trips while on duty. $300 per month, plus one-half of transportation allowance, for employee who travels minimum 80% of work- days and travels less than 6,000 kilometres per year. Standby pay: $3.35 per hour for every hour employee is on standby (no compensation will be paid if employee does not report to work when required). Education fund: Employer will contribute $400,000 per year (previously $350,000 per year) into education fund for life of agreement. Parking: Parking fees for employees will not be implemented during term of agreement. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours' pay for each call-in (double time for each additional hour of overtime after 7.5 hours of work).
