(440 engineers, technicians, painters, janitors) and Unifor, Local 114 Renewal agreement: Effective March 31, 2018 to March 30, 2021. Signed on March 30, 2018. Wage adjustments: Effective March 30, 2018: previ- ous year's rates plus any COLA payments plus 0.5% Effective March 30, 2019: previ- ous year's rates plus any COLA payments plus 0.5% Effective March 30, 2020: previ- ous year's rates plus any COLA payments plus 0.5% Shift premium: $3 per hour, minimum 2 hours per shift, for employees assigned to confined-space entry work involving fuel tanks, dry bays (including but not limited to bladder-tank equipped air- craft). Maximum 4 hours per 8-hour shift or 6 hours on 10- or 12-hour shift. $1 per hour when clerk performs senior- clerk duties. $2 per hour when employee back-fills supervisor position. $1.75 per hour for night shift. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks unpaid to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 20 years. Maximum 4 weeks may be carried over per year. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work on first assigned day off regardless of hours worked in week (employer will provide $15 or meal provided for em- ployee called in with less than 8 hours of notice). Time may be banked, maximum 180 hours. Meal allowance: $15 or a meal provided by employer for em- ployee who works more than 2 hours of overtime prior to or after shift. Additional meal period and allowance will be given after each additional 4 hours worked (meal periods will be paid time). Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for MSP – B.C. Medical Services Plan (after 30 days of employ- ment). Employer pays 100% of premiums for extended ben- efits (after 90 days of employ- ment). Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for basic dental coverage (100% coverage), ma- jor dental coverage (60% cov- erage), orthodontic coverage ($2,500). Maximum $2,500 per year combined coverage. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $250 every 2 years. Paramedical: $500 per year for each type of therapy (massage, chiropractor, physiotherapy) with no per-visit maximum. Employees may consolidate/ bundle up to 3 paramedical benefit amounts into any single 1, maximum $1,500. Sick leave: 8 hours' wage re- placement is credited at end of every second month (February, April, June, August, October, De- cember) worked, beginning with month that first follows third month of employment, maxi- mum 96 hours' accumulation. STD: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums (after 90 days of employment). LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums (after 90 days of em- ployment). AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums (immediately upon hiring). Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums (imme- diately upon hiring). Pension: After probationary period, employees may join DC or money purchase pension plan. Employee may contribute 3%, employer will match 3% contribution. Matched contri- bution will be 4% after 15 years of service. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, son, daughter, brother, sister, father, mother (including stepchildren, step- parents). 3 days for death of father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparents (including in- laws), son in-laws, daughter in-laws, brother in-laws, sister in-laws, grandchildren, relative residing in same household. 1 additional day for out-of- town travel in excess of 200 ki- lometres (1 way) if required. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year to start; 2 years after 1 year of service. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay at appropriate overtime rate. Probationary period: 6 months worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Severance: 1 week's wages for each year of service. Payment may be in lump sum or it can be deposited directly into RRSP or pension plan. Safety shoes: $150 per year (or allow amount to be carried over for maximum 36 months for total of $300) for CSA-approved steel toes, approved personal moulded hearing protection, other safety equipment or clothing including jackets or any inclement-weather clothing. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide necessary tools and equipment, eye protective devices, hearing protection, breathing apparatus and res- pirators, face masks and, when handling acids, aprons, gloves, rubber boots. Employer will supply up to 5 clean coveralls and or smocks upon request. Where specialized protective clothing or equipment is re- quired by employer for specific operation, cost will be borne by employer. $250 per year (or al- low amount to be carried over for total of $500) for protective- equipment allowance for em- ployees working in facilities and GSE job family. Mileage: $0.52 per kilometre for employee who uses own car for transportation while travel- ling on employer business.
