Wage adjustments: Effective July 1, 2018: 1.75% Effective July 1, 2019: 1.75% Effective July 1, 2020: 2% Effective July 1, 2021: 2% Shift premium: Shift no. 6: $1 per hour (previously $0.55 per hour) for 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Wednesday to Friday inclusive); $1.10 per hour (previously $0.60 per hour) for 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. (Saturdays hours only); $1.20 per hour (previously $1.20 per hour) (for Sunday hours only). Shift no. 7: $1.25 per hour (previously $0.75 per hour) for 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. (Wednesday to Fri- day inclusive); $1.10 per hour (previously $0.80 per hour) for 10:30 p.m. to 7 a.m. (Saturdays hours only); $1.20 per hour (previously $0.95 per hour) (for Sunday hours only). Shift no. 2: $1 per hour between 3 p.m. and 11:30 p.m., including 30 minutes lunch period (not paid). Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: 1 1/4 days per month or 3 weeks to start, 1 2/3 days per month or 4 weeks after 8 years, 2.08 days per month or 5 weeks after 15 years, 2.5 days per month or 6 weeks after 25 years. Addi- tional week in 25th, 30th, 35th year. In 20th year of employ- ment, employee will be pro- vided one-half day paid leave (half-day Friday afternoon) for each long weekend that occurs in May, July and August. In addition, these employees will receive paid leave day recog- nizing their birthday. Employee may carry over unused vaca- tion credit, maximum 15 days for employees whose vacation entitlement is 1.25 days per month, maximum 20 days for employees whose vacation entitlement is 1.66 days per month, maximum 25 days for employees whose vacation entitlement is 2.08 days per month, maximum 30 days for employees whose vacation is 2.50 days per month. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or on Saturday. Double time for all work on Sunday or for all work on third consecutive shift. May be taken as time off in lieu, maximum 48 hours accumu- lation. Meal allowance: $12 for em- ployee who works 10 consecu- tive hours, exclusive of lunch time, if such hours are not part of normal shift, without at least 8 hours' notice prior to start of employee's shift. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $350 for prescription contact lens- es, glasses, laser eye surgery, combined total of $700 within 18-month period. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employee pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Ryerson Retirement Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, parent-in- law, grandparents, grandpar- ents-in-law, grandchildren, spouse, brother, sister, sister- in-law, brother-in-law, child. For travel, employee may use vacation entitlement, time off in lieu of overtime work, or leave without pay to attend funeral. Seniority – recall rights: 24 months for layoffs; 18 months if employee is ap- pointed as supervisor who is on pregnancy or parental or adoption leave; 6 months if em- ployee is transferred to position outside bargaining unit. Call-in pay: Minimum guaran- tee 3 hours of pay at appropriate overtime rate. In addition, em- ployee will receive greater after- of mileage allowance for official travel or $15 lump sum or full cost of taxi fare. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Safety shoes: Employer will provide $180 (previously $145) to replace worn-out safety footwear that must be CSA- approved green-patch footwear. 2 pairs of safety boots per year for groundskeeper, caretaker/ recycler. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide employees with appropriate work clothing and safety equipment (which in- cludes prescription safety glass- es) as required. Tool allowance: $200 (pre- viously $175) by June 30 of each year to purchase new or replace broken, worn, or stolen personal hand tools for steam fitters, electricians, plumb- ers, carpenters, mechanics, maintenance workers. Unused amount may be carried over to subsequent year.
