3 Canadian HR Reporter, a HAB Press business 2019 Shift premium: 5% of level 3.4 wage rate for team leaders. $2.35 per hour on level 3.4 wage rate for former point leaders. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 13 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 18 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 40 hours per week. Meal allowance: $10 for em- ployee working more than 3 unscheduled overtime hours that are contiguous (extension to) shift. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for health and welfare plan. Sick leave: 8 days per year. Employees hired after Jan. 1 in any year, will for that year accu- mulate sick days at rate of 1 day for each 3 months worked. Days will not be eligible to be carried over from 1 year to next. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $1.05 per hour worked to pension fund. Effective April 1, 2020: $1.10 per hour worked. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, husband, com- mon-law spouse, wife, children, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents). Additional leave of absence of 7 days without pay to attend funeral if funeral occurs outside 700-kilometres radius of employee's normal work location. Seniority – recall rights: 18 months, if employee has more than 18 months of senior- ity or period equal to senior- ity if employee has less than 18 months of seniority. Probationary period: 90 days after obtaining certification or 180 days after orientation, whichever comes first. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide all parts of uniform that it requires employees to wear as provided by CATSA (CATSA uniforms, Garda pins). Employer will pay $15 per month to each employee for dry cleaning. Sample rates of pay (current, after 7.2% increase): Screening officer level L1: $20.33 rising 3 steps to $21.79 L3.1: $22.75 rising 3 steps to $24.37 L3.2: $23.17 rising 3 steps to $24.83 L3.3: $23.60 rising 3 steps to $25.29 L3.4: $24.01 rising 3 steps to $25.73 Team leader: $25.21 rising 3 steps to $27.02 Grandfathered point leader: $26.36 rising 3 steps to $28.08 Lump-sum payment of $2,000 for full-time employees and $1,000 for part-time employees will be paid to all active employ- ees within 30 days of notice of ratification. Editor's notes: Parking: If employee elects to have parking pass, employer will cover 50% of monthly cost, employee will cover remaining 50% of monthly cost. Employees hired prior to ratification, who wish to surrender GTAA park- ing card, will be paid $56.25 per month as of month following surrender of parking card. Shift premium: $1.40 per hour (previously $1.30 per hour) for all hours worked between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m. Effective 2020: $1.45; Effective 2021: $1.50; Effective 2022: $1.55. $1.30 per hour for all hours worked on night shift (delivery merchandisers only). Effective 2020: $1.35; Effective 2021: $1.40; Effective 2022: $1.40. $23 per night for all hours worked overnight (delivery merchandisers only). Effective 2020: $24; Effective 2021: $25. $2 per hour for lead-hands. Effective Jan. 1, 2020: $2.15. $0.02-per-kilometre incentive mileage for transport drivers (based on driver's overall driv- ing record, care of equipment, other criteria, measured during quarterly review). $0.34 rising 3 steps to $0.35 per kilometre (excluding B.C. kilometres) for transport drivers. Paid holidays: 11 days, plus 1 floater day (for production, maintenance and quality em- ployees floater will be taken on Christmas Eve; for all other em- ployees floater will be taken at mutually agreed-upon time). Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 4 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 16 years, 6 weeks after 23 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week or for all authorized hours worked after 4-day, 10-hours per day, 40- hour week schedule. Time and one-half for all work on sixth or seventh day worked for delivery merchandisers; double time for all work after 9 hours per day. Time and one-half for all work on fifth, sixth or seventh day worked for delivery merchandis- ers who work 4-day, 10-hours per day schedule; double time or all work after 11 hours per day. May be taken as time off in lieu and banked; employees may bank either 40 or 80 or 120 hours per year. Accumulated, banked overtime must be taken by April 1 of following year. Any overtime not converted into time off with pay is paid out by closest pay date after April 1. Meal allowance: After 2 hours of overtime (without 24 hours' notice): $11 effective Jan. 1, 2020 (previously $10). Effective Jan. 1, 2021: $12. Medical benefits: PepsiCo Beverages (Canada) ULC Insur- ance Plan. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for core 35% benefit (employees may top-up benefit at own cost). Pension: Pension Plan for Em- ployees of PepsiCo Beverages (Canada) ULC, Part 2 Defined Contribution Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse (as legally defined), parent, stepparent, child, stepchild, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, grandchild). 3 days for death of mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent; additional 2 days to attend fu- neral at employer's discretion. Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours at regular rate of pay unless deemed to be overtime, when overtime rate of pay will apply. Market equipment employee, based in Lethbridge and Medi- cine Hat, who is called in, will receive overtime pay for all hours worked from time they leave home until they return home (directly) from call-in. Probationary period: 960 hours worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months. Severance: 2 weeks' pay (80 hours) multiplied by em- ployee's wage rate for every year of service, maximum 52 weeks. Safety shoes: $180 per year (previously $160 per year) for ap- proved safety footwear. Effective Jan. 1, 2020: $220 per year. Effec- tive Jan. 1, 2022: $230 per year.
