Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Dental: 100% coverage for basic services. 70% coverage for prosthetic (dentures) expenses. 85% coverage for orthodontic expenses, lifetime individual maximum benefit of $5,000. 80% coverage for restorative services (dental implants, caps, crowns and bridges), maximum $5,000 per individual per year. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Maximum $425 every 24 months (previous- ly $400 every 24 months); maximum of $350 every 24 months (previously $300 every 24 months) for employees whose position requires them to wear safety glasses. Cover- age may be used for laser eye surgery. Maximum $115 every 24 months (previously $100 every 24 months) for eye exam- inations performed by qualified optometrist. Sick leave: 1.5 days per month, except for those months in which employee is absent more than 15 normal working days (other than on approved paid leave, excluding sick leave). Unused credits will accumulate from year to year. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Pension: York University Pen- sion Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of parent, spouse, same- sex partner, brother, sister, child, current ward, legal guard- ian, grandparent, grandchild. 3 days for death of mother-in- law, father-in-law, brother-in- law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, stepparent, stepchild. If overnight travel outside of Toronto is necessary, maximum 5 days' unpaid leave will be granted. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year for employee who accepts pos- ition outside bargaining unit; 12 or more consecutive months for layoffs. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours' pay if, in excess of 35-hour work week, at overtime rate or for ac- tual hours worked at overtime rate, whichever is greater. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months if regarding other than suspension or discharge; 18 months if regarding suspen- sion or discharge. Severance: 2 weeks' pay at employee's regular rate for each completed year of service to 15 years; 3 weeks' pay for each additional year of service after 15 years, total maximum 60 weeks' pay, as enhanced severance. 1 week's pay at em- ployee's regular rate for each completed year of service to 15 years; 2 weeks' pay for each additional year of service af- ter 15 years, total maximum 26 weeks' pay, as regular sev- erance. Safety shoes: $200 per year for employees who are required to wear safety shoes or boots. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide and maintain pro- tective clothing, equipment or devices for all employees. Hearing care: Maximum $1,500 every 36 months.
