(15 aircraft mechanics, inspectors, administrative employees) and the Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC), Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2018 to Feb. 28, 2023. Signed on June 21, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective 2018: 2.5% Effective 2019: 2.5% Effective 2020: 2.25% Effective 2021: 2.25% Effective 2022: 2.5% Shift premium: $2 per hour for all hours worked, includ- ing overtime hours, between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. (if majority of hours occur after 4 p.m.); if employee's regularly sched- uled shift commences prior to 6 a.m., and majority of employee's scheduled hours do not fall between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m., employee will receive greater of above premium for hours worked prior to 8 a.m. or 4 hours' shift premium pay. $2 per hour for regularly sched- uled hours of work on Saturday or Sunday. Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 1 1/4 days per month to start, 1 2/3 days per month after 6 years, 2 1/12 days per month after 16 years, 2 1/2 days per month after 25 years. Employee may request to carry-over to following vaca- tion year. Overtime: Time and one-half for each hour worked in excess of employee's normal sched- uled daily hours. Time and one-half for each hour worked on first day of rest; double time for each hour worked in excess of employee's normal scheduled daily hours worked on that day of rest. Double time for each hour worked on second or subsequent day of rest (second or subsequent day of rest means second or subse- quent day in unbroken series of consecutive and contiguous calendar days of rest). Double time for each hour of overtime worked after 16 hours of work in any 24-hour period. Time may be accumulated in equiva- lent leave, maximum 40 hours. Time not used by Dec. 31 will be paid out. Meal allowance: $12 meal reimbursement for employee who works 3 or more hours of overtime, immediately before employee's scheduled hours and who has not been notified prior to end of last scheduled work period, or immediately following employee's sched- uled hours of work (except where free meals are provided or when employee is being compensated on some other basis). 1 additional $12 meal reimbursement for each 4-hour period work thereafter (except where free meals are provided or when employee is being compensated on some other basis). Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for extended health plan. Employer pays 100% of premiums for Medical Services Plan of British Columbia. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 100% coverage for basic services. 60% coverage for major restorative services, max- imum combined limit of $1,750 per person per year. 50% cover- age for orthodontic services, lifetime maximum of $3,000 per person. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $325 per person every 24 months. Sick leave: 12 hours per month (equivalent of 1.5 days). Unused hours will accumulate from year to year, maximum 1,040 hours. LTD: Employer pays 85% of premiums, employee pays 15% of premiums for coverage of 66 2/3% of salary. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 200% of salary. Pension: Employees covered by DC plan are required to con- tribute 6% of pensionable earn- ings, employer will contribute an equal amount to employee's contributions. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, stepbrother, sister, stepsister, spouse, common-law spouse resident with employee, child, child of common-law spouse, foster-child, stepchild, ward of employee, grandchild, grandparent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, relative resid- ing in employee's household). 3 additional days leave to attend funeral where distances warrant. 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year for layoffs. Call-in pay: Greater of 3 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate or applicable rate of over- time compensation for time worked, if period worked is not contiguous to employee's normal hours of work. For run- way checks, where employee works less than three 3 hours on rest day, employee will be paid greater of time scheduled or ac- tual time worked at applicable overtime rate. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for document or written statement related to disciplinary action. Severance: 2 weeks' pay for first year of service, subsequent to March 18, 1997; 1 week's pay for each year thereafter, max- imum 30 weeks' pay. Safety shoes: Employer will provide airport technicians with suitable safety footwear every 2 years. Uniforms/clothing: Employ- er will supply 1 parka every 3 years. Employer will provide rain wear (hats, coats, pants, boots) as required. Mileage: When employee re- ports for overtime work which is not contiguous to employ- ee's regularly scheduled shift on that day, employee will be reimbursed for actual mileage at CRA automobile allowance rates (previously $0.50 per kilometre), maximum 30 kilo- metres each way. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 9.8% increase): Administrative assistant: $24.93 rising 4 steps to $27.38 Airport technician: $30.07 rising 4 steps to $33.03 Airport technician 2: $34.58 rising 4 steps to $37.98 Airport technician 3: $37.31 rising 4 steps to $40.98 Facilities and administration officer: $28.79 rising 4 steps to $31.62 Supervisor, airport services: $32.22 rising 4 steps to $35.39 Supervisor, airport services w/ ARFF (aircraft rescue and fire- fighting) certification: $41.21 rising 4 steps to $45.27 Technician/trades: $32.44 rising 4 steps to $35.63 Editor's notes: Travel costs: Employer will reimburse employees for reasonable expenses incurred travelling on employer business including meals, commercial accommodations in accordance with current CRA guidelines, ap- proved use of employee's personal vehicle. Standby: $18 for each 8 consecutive hours employee is on standby. Shift premium: $2 per hour for regularly scheduled hours of work on Saturday or Sunday.
