NATURAL GAS DISTRIBUTION AltaGas Utilities Leduc, Alta. (115 production, accounting, administrative employees, Technicians) and Unifor, Local 1947 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2020. Ratified on Aug. 10, 2019. Signed on Sept. 3, 2019. Shift premium: $25.90 per day (previously $25.39 per day) for employee who temporarily relieves in supervisory position for 1 or more full days. $1.50 regular geographic allowance for employee whose permanent residence is in Grande Cache, High Level, Wabasca Districts. Paid holidays: 12 days. All company offices will be closed for additional 3 days between Dec. 27 and 31 of each year and scheduled as corporate days off. Employees will receive regular day's pay for each corporate day off. Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 24 years. Overtime: Double time for all work after 7.5 or 8 hours per day or 37.5 or 40 hours per week. Time may be banked, maximum 8 days, each year from Jan. 1 to the end of 24th pay period. Overtime earned during 25th and 26th pay per- iods is not bankable and will be paid out as overtime (1 hour overtime will be banked as 2 hours). Meal allowance: Maximum $22.61 (previously $22.28) or employee will be supplied with meal, for employees working more than 2 hours after end of normal day's work; at 4-hour intervals thereafter. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP). Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Bereavement leave: Maximum 10 days for death of spouse, child, stepchild, mother, step- mother, father, stepfather, grandchild, stepgrandchild (must be used within 15 days immediately following death). Maximum 5 days for death of mother-in-law, father-in-law, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather, spouse's grand- mother, spouse's grandfather, brother-in-law, sister-in-law (must be used within 10 days immediately following death). Maximum 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, cousin, niece, nephew (must be used within 10 days immediately following death). Additional 2 days trav- elling time for distances greater than 300 kilometres 1-way for funeral or memorial service. Seniority – recall rights: Per- iod equivalent to employee's number of months of service, maximum 12 months, which- ever is less. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours pay at applicable overtime rate or for actual hours worked at applicable overtime rate, whichever is greater. Call-ins beginning after 10 p.m. and before 5:30 a.m. will be paid minimum of 2.5 hours' pay at applicable overtime rate or for actual hours worked at applic- able overtime rate, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 80 work- ing days (previously 3 months). Severance: 2 weeks of pay plus 2 weeks of severance pay for each year of service, not includ- ing recall period, maximum 56 weeks. Safety shoes: Employer will reimburse employees for ap- proved footwear, Bama socks and insoles, maximum $300 per year (previously $275 per year). Uniforms/clothing: Employ- er will pay 100% of cleaning costs for following portions of employee's uniform: parkas, coveralls (winter and summer), smocks including all portions of company uniforms which require dry-cleaning to comply with manufacturer's cleaning instructions. Cleaning will be done at employer-designated cleaning establishments.
