Overtime: Time and one-half for all eligible overtime hours. May be taken as time off in lieu. All overtime balances will be reduced to zero balance on March 31 of each year Meal allowance: Employee qualifying for overtime meal will be provided with meal or be paid meal allowance (if meal break occurs when dining rooms are not open, following limits will apply, per meal: $10 (previously $6) for breakfast; $12 (previously $8) for lunch; $20 (previously $12) for dinner). Medical benefits: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 80% of premiums, employee pays 20% of premiums. Sick leave: 10 days per year, after 3 months of service. STD: After 3 months of service: 10 work days at full pay, 110 work days at 70% pay after third month; 15 work days at full pay, 105 work days at 70% pay in second year of employment; 25 work days at full pay, 95 work days at 70% pay in third year of employment; 35 work days at full pay, 85 work days at 70% pay in fourth year of employment; 45 work days at full pay, 75 work days at 70% pay in fifth year of employment; 60 work days at full pay, 60 work days at 70% pay in sixth or subsequent years of employment. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: All eligible support staff will participate in public service pension plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (husband, wife, common-law spouse, parent, parent-in-law, guardian, ward, grandparent, grandchild, son, daughter, brother, sister, or husband or wife of any of them; nephew, niece, aunt, uncle). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs. Call-in pay: Employee will be guaranteed either: 4 hours of pay at straight-time or actual hours worked at applicable overtime rate, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 500 hours worked in position. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months. Safety shoes: Employees required to wear CSA-/PPE- approved safety footwear as condition of employment will be reimbursed 100% for footwear, maximum $250 in each 2-year period. Uniforms/clothing: Positions identified as requiring protective clothing, safety equipment, any other safety devices, will be provided with these items at employer's expense. Employer will provide employees with coveralls, other protective clothing, where such clothing is required to be worn as condition of employment. If special uniform with employer insignia is required to be worn as condition of employment, employer will provide clothing free of charge. $4 per pay period cleaning-allowance will be issued to eligible employees (allowance is for cleaning when no other form of cleaning is provided).
