Vacations with pay: 1 day per 25 days worked, maximum 10 days, to start, 1 day per 16 2/3 days worked, maximum 15 days, after 3 years, 1 day per 12 1/2 days worked, maximum 20 days, after 9 years, 1 day per 10 days worked, maximum 25 days, after 20 years, 1 day per 8 1/2 days worked, maximum 30 days, after 30 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after normal daily hours. Time may be banked, maximum 40 hours, and taken as time off. All employees who have banked overtime through year will have hours paid out in full on last pay day of year or have maximum 40 hours of banked overtime pay deposited to RRSP. When employee leaves employment, all banked hours accumulated during that year will be paid out in total. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for provincial medical plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 100% for routine services, 50% major services. Combined maximum $1,400 per year. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $350 every 24 months per employee, dependant covered, no deductible. Paramedical: $1,200 per year combined maximum. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 70% of regular weekly earnings, maximum 26 weeks, maximum $485. Sick leave: 1 hour for each 81 regular hours paid in previous year, maximum 24 hours (days may be taken in increments of one-half or 1 full day). Entitlement will not be cumulative from year to year. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $60,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $60,000. Pension: Employer, employee will contribute 3.2% of earnings, up to yearly maximum pensionable earnings (YMPE), 5% of earnings over yearly maximum pensionable earnings, into Fairmont Hotels Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: After probationary period completed, 5 days for death of spouse (including common-law, same- sex), child, stepchild, parent, stepparent. 3 days for death of brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren (5 days should funeral take place outside of Alberta). Seniority – recall rights: Maximum 6 months for employee who is promoted or transferred to excepted position; 24 months when on layoff. 9 months for employee temporarily transferred from Hotel to another Fairmont Hotels and Resorts location (may be extended by mutual agreement). Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay. Probationary period: 3 months of cumulative service. Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for disciplinary letter/ notice of suspension. Safety shoes: $85 per year after 1 year of service in classification required by employer to wear safety footwear. Employer must approve style, safety standard, colour of shoes. Additional $65 (previously $55) for winter footwear for grounds- department classifications. Employees will be permitted to carry over maximum of 1 year's allowance to next year to provide greater benefit to purchase better quality footwear. Uniforms/clothing: Each employee required to wear uniform will be supplied by employer. Each uniform will include seasonal outerwear determined by requirements of position. Valet, laundry service for uniforms will be supplied by employer. Tool allowance: When employee is expected to provide certain tools necessary in performing daily duties, and in event of wear and tear, breakage, damage or theft of tools during working hours, employer will reimburse 100% of cost of replacement, maximum $100 per 12-month period ending Jan. 31. Paid education leave: Employer will pay $0.02 per hour worked per employee into Unifor Paid Education Leave Training Fund. Royal service: Employee called by royal service between midnight and 6 a.m. will receive allowance equal to 1 hour of straight-time pay for answering call. If employee needs to come onto property, minimum call-in pay will apply instead. Early-retirement allowance: Maximum $5,000 (based on 15 hours per year of service) for employees who, during current year, will become 60 years old and have 20 years of continuous service. Training for promotion: Employee required to take training during scheduled hours will be paid regular rate of pay while in training. Employees required to take training outside scheduled working hours will be paid maximum 10 continuous hours at regular rate during regular working day; time and one-half after 10 continuous hours in regular working day; time and one-half on scheduled day off for all hours in training. Early-retirement allowance: Maximum $5,000 for employees who, during current year, will become 60 years old and have 20 years of service.
