Overtime: Time and one-half for occupational therapist visits greater than 50 visits per 2-week period. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. Weekly indemnity: Coverage of 67% of weekly earnings, maximum $1,500 per week. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $50,000 (previously $25,000). Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $50,000 (previously $25,000). Pension: Employer contributes 1%, employee contributes 1% to Nursing Homes and Related Industries Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of current spouse (including same-sex, common- law partners) son, daughter, stepchild (including child of common-law or same-sex partner). For delayed interment, funeral or ceremony, 1 day may be reserved by employee to attend services with pay. 1 day for death in immediate family (parent, brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in- law, stepmother, stepfather, stepbrother, stepsister, legal guardian). Seniority – recall rights: Lesser of 24 months or length of seniority; lesser of 36 months or length of seniority for absence due to illness or disability. Probationary period: 6 months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for warning letter or record of verbal counseling; 18 months for suspension or other sanction. Mileage: $0.42 per kilometre if employee is assigned work outside designated service area.
