Signed on July 31, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective Feb. 1, 2018: 1.5% Effective Aug. 1, 2018: 2% Effective Feb. 1, 2019: 1.5% Effective Aug. 1, 2019: 2% Effective Feb. 1, 2020: 1.75% Effective Aug. 1, 2020: 2% Effective Feb. 1, 2021: 1.75% Effective Aug. 1, 2021: 2% Shift premium: $2 for com- bination of set up/take down of cot by house person. $2 for room attendant/house person for make-up of cot. $25 for work performed by house per- son from any department for setup, tear down of each guest room (gratuity will only apply if guest is charged for setup, tear down). Paid holidays: 11 days, plus employee's birthday, employee's anniversary date (start date), 1 floating personal day. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks of 8% after 12 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 21 years. Vacations will be granted within 10 months fol- lowing date on which employee qualifies. Employees eligible for 4 or more weeks of vacation may carry over, maximum 2 weeks' vacation into next year, otherwise vacation credits may not be cumulative from year to year. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day (8.5 hours per day for serv- ers who complete service on guest). Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $2.16 per hour (previously $2.13 per hour) to Unite Here Health and Welfare Trust. Effective Feb. 1, 2021: $2.19 per hour. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $1.30 (+$0.18) per hour (previously $1.12 (+$0.17) per hour), employee contributes $0.20 per hour, to Unite Here Pension Trust. Effective Feb. 1, 2021: Employer will contribute $1.49 (+$0.19) per hour. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of husband, wife, child, father, mother, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents, same-sex partners. Total maxi- mum 6 days allowance in any 1 year. Seniority – recall rights: 52 weeks for layoffs; 24 months for being absent due to workers' compensation. Probationary period: 50 days worked. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for warning notices, sus- pensions. Safety shoes: $75 per year (paid on July 1 each year) for employ- ees so long as shoes are worn on job. Uniforms/clothing: Uniforms or special style of clothing, special equipment, if required by employer, will be furnished, laundered, cleaned, kept in re- pair by employer. Employer will also maintain adequate, clean facilities for uniforms. Tool allowance: $50 per year (paid on July 1 each year) for employees working in main- tenance, kitchen departments who are expected to provide certain tools necessary to per- form daily duties, after 1 year of service, excluding apprentices. Culture fund: Employer will contribute $0.01 per hour worked per employee into Unite Here, Local 75 World Culture Fund of Toronto's Hotel Workers.
