Medical benefits: Employee pays maximum 50% of pre- miums for Stingray Group In- surance Plan (for broadcasting employees). Employees may get covered for life insurance, STD, LTD, extended health-care, dental care, vision care, AD&D insurance. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, guardian, child). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months, after 1 year of service, for resignations. 6 months to start; 12 months after 2 years of service; 24 months after 5 years of service for layoffs. 3 days for death of sister, brother, father- in-law, mother-in-law, any rela- tive currently living in employ- ee's household. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparent, grandchild. Em- ployee may take extra offs or va- cation for death of persons not otherwise noted (death of niece, nephew, close friend). Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours' at time and one-half basic rate. Probationary period: 6 months of continuous, un- interrupted employment with employer (time lost by proba- tionary employees for personal or health reasons will not be counted toward completion of 6-month period) for full-time employees; 120 days work or 1 year, whichever comes first, for part-time employees. Employer may extend period by 3 months or 60 days worked for full-time employees; 1 year, whichever comes first, for part-time em- ployees. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years. Severance: 4 weeks of regu- lar salary per year of service, maximum 9 months of regular salary. Uniforms/clothing: Em- ployer may replace or repair employee's clothing if it was accidentally damaged as result of assignment. Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre, or higher rate as determined by employer policy, minimum payment of $5 for each com- pleted trip. Employer will reim- burse employees for deductible amount of insurance plan, max- imum $500, if employees are involved in accident resulting in damage to employee's vehicle, and damage cannot be re- covered from any other person or persons. Sample rates of weekly pay (current): Production assistant/operator, administrative assistant, recep- tionist: $777.40 Sales coordinator: $936.26 Creative writer, swing announ- cer, promotions coordinator: $978.91 Morning cohost, midday announcer, producer, broad- cast engineer, production supervisor, creative director: $1,092.55 Morning announcer, driver an- nouncer: $1,221.79 Editor's notes: Job interviews: Employer will provide employees facing layoff with reasonable time off during normal work week, without loss in salary, to be interviewed for positions outside company, maximum 3 2-hour interviews per week. Edu- cational seminars: Employees required to attend employer-approved seminar or educational course related to industry and not required to work that day will receive for that day on, scheduled workday, basic rate of pay for normal tour of duty or on scheduled day off, basic rate of pay for hours of attendance, maximum 1/5 of regular weekly hours (no overtime will be paid while employees are attending courses). Moving/relocation expenses: Employer will incur cost of moving personal effects of newly-hired employees from 1 residence to another when former residence is outside Halifax Metropolitan area. On-call: $20 per day. Employee will be provided with cellphone, shared laptop computer, be provided transportation; receive regular overtime if they are called. GENERAL FREIGHT TRANSPORTATION Northern Industrial Carriers Edmonton (1 transport truck driver) and Teamsters Canada, Local No. 362 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2023. Signed on April 29, 2019. Shift premium: $30 for full tarping of super-B loads of lum- ber, multi-tiered super-B loads; $25 full tarping of tandem and tridem trailers. Paid holidays: 9 days Vacations with pay: 2 weeks to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years. $0.04 per hour for haul- ing of oversize loads, that re- quires pilot car. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours in addition to 10 per day. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, em- ployee pays 50% of premiums for company health and welfare plan (after 6 months of employ- ment). Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for coinsurance at 80%, maximum $1,500. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 50% of premiums, em- ployee pays 50% of premiums for coverage of 66 2/3% of earn- ings for drivers with more than 2 years of service, maximum $427. AD&D: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for coverage of $10,000. Life insurance: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for cov- erage of $10,000. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay when driver is called and reports for work. Probationary period: 90 cal- endar days Mileage: Single-man operation: $0.38 per mile; $0.42 per mile for less than 1 year of service; $0.44 per mile after 1 year of service for sleeper team. Single- man operation: $0.39 per mile. Additional $0.01 per mile for pulling lowboys with booster and jeep configuration. Ad- ditional $0.2 per mile for super B-trains. Single-man operation: $0.41 rising in 3 steps to $0.42; sleeper team: $0.47.5 rising in 3 steps to $0.49; additional $0.02 per mile for pulling lowboys with booster and jeep configuration; additional $0.02 per mile for super B-trains after 2 years of May 4, 2020 May 4, 2020 On-call: $20 per day.
