Retirement leave benefit: Upon retirement, employees who were 48 years old and accumulated 14 years of service as of July 1, 2005, will be given cash payout, equal to maximum of 60 days of accumulated sick leave. Medical ex- aminations: When employer requires employee to undergo medical examination, it will be at employer's expense and on employer time. Staff development fund: Employer will provide $59,000 for 2019-2020 fiscal year; $94,000 for 2020-2021 fiscal year; $137,000 for 2021-2022 fiscal year and subsequent fiscal years to fund staff development activities (funds not expended in any fiscal year will be carried forward to next fiscal year). SOCIAL HOUSING SOCIAL HOUSING Capital Region Housing Edmonton (85 clerks, investigators, maintenance, finance, IT, customer service employees) and the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE), Local 118/011 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2021. Ratified on Sept. 26, 2019. Signed on Nov. 18, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2019: 2% Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 1% Effective Jan. 1, 2019: Wage re-opener Shift premium: 8% each day for full period worked (up to maximum daily rate of pay for incumbent position) when employee performs majority of higher classifications duties with higher pay assignment longer than 1 day. $0.80 per hour for charge hands. Paid holidays: 12 days, plus 3 Christmas floater days. Vacations with pay: 15 days af- ter 1 year, 20 days after 4 years, 25 days after 12 years, 30 days after 20 years, 35 days after 29 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.25 hours per day; double time after 2 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for all work on first day of rest; double time after 7.25 hours of work. Double time for all work on second or subsequent days of rest. May be taken as time off in lieu but must be approved by employer. Meal allowance: $15 reim- bursement when employee works more than 2 hours be- yond full normal weekday and purchases meal. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, em- ployee pays 50% of premiums. Employer will provide $650 per year for health benefits spend- ing account; $350 per year for flex taxable spending account (unused portion may be carried forward, maximum 1 year). Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Sick leave: Casual illnesses: 3 days after 4 months of service; 4 days after 5 months of service; 5 days after 6 months of service; 6 days after 7 months of service; 7 days after 8 months of service; 8 days after 9 months of service; 9 days after 10 months of ser- vice; 10 days after 11 months of service. Maximum 10 days per year after 1 year of service for each subsequent year. General illnesses: 3 days maximum 80 days. Paid at 100% of normal salary for each of first 10 work days of illness, 70% of normal Sick leave: 1.25 days for every month of service.
