COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS salary for each of next 70 work days of illness in first year of service; 100% of normal salary for each of first 15 work days of illness, 70% of normal salary for each of next 65 work days of illness in second year of service; 100% of normal salary for each of first 25 work days of illness, 70% of normal salary for each of next 55 work days of illness in third year of service; 100% of normal salary for each of first 35 work days of illness, 70% of normal salary for each of next 45 work days of illness in fourth year of service; 100% of normal salary for each of first 45 work days of illness, 70% of normal salary for each of next 35 work days of illness in fifth year of service; 100% of normal salary for each of first 60 work days of illness, 70% of normal salary for each of next 20 work days of ill- ness in sixth year of service. Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse, foster-child, parents, guardian, dependent adult, grandparent, grandchild, son, daughter, brother, sister, spouse of any of them; grandparent of employee's child; aunt, uncle, niece, nephew). Additional 2 days for travel time. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs. Call-in pay: Paid at applicable overtime rates, minimum 2 hours, including travel time. Probationary period: 180 consecutive calendar days. May be extended to maximum 270 calendar days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 15 full months (timeline will be suspended during any period of absence of 30 days or longer). Severance: 2 weeks after 1 year of service; 4 weeks after 2 years of service; 6 weeks after 6 years of service; 8 weeks after 4 years of service; 10 weeks after 5 years of service; 22 weeks after 6 years of service; 25 weeks af- ter 7 years of service; 28 weeks after 8 years of service; 31 weeks after 9 years of service; 34 weeks after 10 years of ser- vice; 37 weeks after 11 years of service; 40 weeks after 12 years of service; 43 weeks after 13 years of service. Mileage: $0.05 per kilometre where employee uses own vehi- cle as maintenance/tradesman is required to deliver materials to worksite. Employee on standby duty will be provided with electronic notification device (with range of 40 kilometres) and will be able to report for duty as quickly as possible if notified (cost of such device will be assumed by employer). Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: Employer pays $4.11 per hour rising 3 steps to $4.40 per hour for operators of shovels, back- hoes, drag line, Gradall, clams. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work in excess of 10 hours per day, 50 hours per week Monday to Friday; all hours on Saturdays. Double time for all hours on Sundays and statutory holidays. Medical benefits/Pension: Employer will contribute $13.38 per hour (previously $13.18 per hour) to IUOE, Local 793 Members Life and Health Benefit Trust of Ontario and IUOE, Local 793 Mem- bers Pension Benefit Trust of Ontario. Effective May 1, 2021: $13.48 per hour. Probationary period: 30 working days. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply safety helmets to employees at no cost. When employees perform duties in wet weather, employer will sup- ply suitable protective clothing, including rubber boots. Tool allowance: On projects where employer provides locked up facilities for employ- ees to store tools, clothing, em- ployer will reimburse employee maximum $225 for loss due to fire or theft resulting from break-in to facilities.
