Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 1% Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 1.3% Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 1.% Shift premium: 10% for hours worked on Saturday, Sunday as part of regular shift schedule. 3.5% for all scheduled hours worked between 5 p.m. and 6 a.m. $1 per hour when em- ployee relieves into supervisory position. Paid holidays: 12 days. In mu- nicipal government does not declare civic holiday, employee will be entitled to 1-day holiday in August. Vacations with pay: 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 8 years, 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 25 years (applicable to hires after Jan. 1, 2003). Em- ployees may bank time, maxi- mum 10 days. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. May be taken as time in lieu but must be scheduled within 60 days of accrual and taken with- in 6 months of accrual. Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums, em- ployee pays 25% of premiums. Employer will administer health-care spending account for eligible employees with minimum value of $1,000 per year for employees with single coverage; $1,500 per year for employees with family cover- age. Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Sick leave: 1.5 days per month. Any unused portion may be accumulated, maximum 120 working days. Employee may use maximum 7 days of leave per year to take care of illness, injury, disability of employee's immediate family members or to accompany member of employee's immediate family to medical appointments. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Eligible employee will participate in Local Authorities Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse (including common- law), son in-law, mother, daughter-in-law, father, broth- er-in-law, son, sister-in-law, daughter, grandparent, sister, grandchild, brother, stepfamily, mother-in-law, grandparent of spouse, legal guardian, father- in-law). 2 additional days may be given when proof of travel is provided. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months for layoffs. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of pay at overtime rates. If employee receives subsequent call-ins during initial 3-hour call period, no further call- in pay will be paid until first 3-hour call-in has expired. Probationary period: 3 months. Safety shoes: $250 per year for permanent employees ($150 per year for other employees), may be accumulated over 2-year period. Uniforms/clothing: $50 for every 200 hours worked, maxi- mum $300 per year for bathing suits, shorts, appropriate foot- wear for pool employees.
