COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $40,000. Life insurance: Employees will be covered under Public Education Benefits Trust Fund (PEBT). Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $40,000. Pension: All employees will become members of Municipal Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse (including common-law spouse/same sex partner), chil- dren (including stepchildren), parents, stepparents and grand- parents of employee; parents, stepparents and grandparents of spouse, brothers and sisters, grandparents, grandchildren and stepchildren, brother-in- law and sister-in-law, son-in- law, daughter-in-law, foster- children). Seniority – recall rights: 12 months if employee is trans- ferred to position outside bar- gaining unit. Probationary period: 3 months from date of initial regular ap- pointment. Discipline: Sunset clause is 3 years or all disciplinary letters. Severance: 1 month's salary after 5 years of service. Safety shoes: $150 per year for protective steel-toed footwear for shipping/receiving clerks (employee will be required to wear safety footwear during work hours). Uniforms/clothing: $100 per year (previously $50 per year) for bathing suits, non-slip foot- wear where employee's assign- ment requires them to regularly be in swimming pool. Monies un- spent in any year will accumulate on year-to-year basis. Long-service employees: On employee's 15th, 19th, 30th anniversary, employee will be eligible for 5 1-time bonus vacation days. Employee with 20 years of service will receive 1-time bonus of 10 consecutive days off. Retirement benefit: Employee reaching retirement age and having completed 10 years of service will be given bonus of 1 month's pay (bonus is in addition to any holiday or accrued sick leave with pay to which employee may be entitled). Employee having completed 5 years' service and reaching 55 years of age will receive payment upon retirement of all accrued sick leave, maximum 120 days. Insurance: Employer will reimburse employees who suffer loss from theft, fire, malicious damage to employee's vehicle while parked on school property, maximum $300 (previ- ously maximum $200). When employees who use vehicle on employer business incur damage to vehicle by means other than collision, employer will reimburse employee to value of comprehensive deductible on vehicle. GOVERNMENT Town of Redcliff Redcliff, Alta. (50 municipal employees) and the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE), Local 46 Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2020 to Dec. 31, 2023. Ratified on Feb. 24, 2020. Signed on April 22, 2020. Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2020: 0% Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 1% Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 1.25% Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 1.5% Shift premium: Double time for all hours in 1 shift, if 24 hours of notice of shift change not given. 10% or position rate when employee is assigned to higher paying position outside bargaining unit for more than 3 days, maximum 30 days. $1.15 per hour for lead-hands. $1.75 per hour for all hours worked between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Paid holidays: 12 days. Vacations with pay: 11 days after probation, 15 days after 2 years, 20 days after 7 years, 25 days after 15 years, 30 days after 20 years. Employees must take minimum 2 weeks of vacation per year and may carry over an- nual allowance to following year. Overtime: Time and one-half for first 6 hours of overtime per week, double time thereafter. Time may be banked, maximum 40 hours per year. May be taken as time off in lieu. All time not used will be paid out on last pay of year. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Em- ployer will provide $200 per year for health spending ac- count. Employer will provide $125 per year for health and wellness account. Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $300 every 24 months (previously $100 per year). Sick leave: 2 days to start. 1.5 days per month, maximum 18 days. STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Local Authorities Pen- sion Plan after 1 year of employ- ment.
