to midnight and midnight to 8 a.m. shifts. $32 for each night at sea for employees assigned to work aboard ship, except for employees of Department of National Defence who receive $35. $100 for each month with 15 hours completed of duties with equipment while in flight. $12.50 per hour for qualified personnel performing diving duties. $2 per hour for all regu- lar hours worked on Saturday, Sunday at straight-time hourly rate. $10 transfer allowance when employee proceeds to mobile offshore drilling unit (MODU) or boards vessel or submarine at sea by helicop- ter or vessel and is required to transfer from helicopter or vessel to MODU, vessel or sub- marine. 25% submarine trials allowance for each completed one-half hour for employee required to be in submarine during trials. $100 per month (provided employee completes 15 hours each quarter) for employee who perform duties with equipment while in flight, such as flight calibration of magnetometer surveys. $10.50 per hour flying-time premium for employee in avionics work- shop of Transport Canada or in avionics systems at CFB Cold Lake who performs duties with equipment while in flight. $2,000 per year for correctional service specific duty allow- ance. $13 per 24-hour period employee who repairs buoys, other navigational equipment on open ice on Lac St-Pierre in Quebec. $75 per month, for each month where employee maintains certification under Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act, plus $3.50 for each day employee packages, labels dangerous goods for shipping for employee assigned re- sponsibility for packaging and labelling dangerous goods for shipping. $12.50 per hour for qualified personnel performing diving duties. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 3 weeks (15 working days) after 1 year, 4 weeks (20 working days) after 8 years, 22 working days after 16 years, 23 working days after 17 years, 5 weeks (25 working days) after 18 years, 27 work- ing days after 27 years, 6 weeks (30 working days) after 28 years. Employees who receive or are entitled to receive fur- lough leave will accumulate 20 working days only in years 21 through 25. Employees must work at least 10 days per month to earn annual entitlement; oth- erwise they earn 1/12 of rate for each calendar month receiving 10 days' pay. Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked outside of regularly scheduled hours or all hours up to 7.5 on statutory holiday. Double time for all hours worked in excess of 12 in continuous period of work or in day; hours worked in excess of 7.5 on statutory holiday. Meal allowance: $12 for em- ployee who works 3 or more hours of overtime immediately before or after scheduled hours of work, plus 30 minutes for meal break; $12 for each subse- quent 4-hours worked, plus 30 minutes for meal break. Sick leave: 9.375 hours for each calendar month receiving pay for at least 75 hours. If credits are insufficient to cover sick leave, employer may provide maximum 187.5 hours if await- ing decision on application for injury-on-duty leave or 112 hours if employee has not sub- mitted application for injury- on-duty leave. Bereavement leave: 7 con- secutive calendar days for death of parent, stepparent, foster-parent, former guardian, sibling, spouse, child, stepchild, foster-child, ward, parent-in- law, stepsibling, grandparent, grandchild, relative permanent- ly residing in employee's house- hold. Maximum 3 paid days for travel. 1 paid day for funeral of child-in-law, sibling-in-law, grandparent of spouse. Call-in pay: 1 hour's pay for each consecutive 8 hours avail- able for work unless called in to work. Minimum 4 hours' pay for call back after completing work period and leaving place of work. Minimum 2 hours' pay if called to duty outside of scheduled hours of work. Severance: First layoff: 2 weeks' pay; 3 weeks' pay for 10 or more years of service; 4 weeks' pay for 20 years of service plus 1 week's pay for each additional year of continuous employment. Second layoff: 1 week's pay for each complete year of continu- ous employment. 1 week of pay, maximum 27 weeks, for each year of service after rejection on probation. Tool allowance: Employer sup- plies tools where it considers them necessary. Travel: Employees in travel status will be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses. Travel required to perform duties is considered as time worked. Death benefit: 1 week's pay for each year of service, maximum 30 weeks' pay. Telephone service: Employer will pay that portion of employee's telephone installation, rental costs that exceeds Ottawa rate for similar services for employees of Global Affairs Canada who are posted abroad and have telephone installed. Loss of per- sonal effects: Maximum $1,000, based on replacement cost less usual rate of depreciation, when employee is assigned to duty aboard ship and suffers loss of clothing or personal effects because of marine accident or disaster.
