COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS 60 months, 20 days or 10% after 120 months, 25 days or 10% af- ter 180 months. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 40 hours per week (8- or 10-hour schedules) or all work after 36 hours per week (12-hour schedules). Time and one-half for all work on Sat- urday, Sunday, holidays. Double time after 12 hours of overtime. For compressed workweeks, all hours beyond 10 hours of work per day or 40 hours per week are overtime. Meal allowance: Hot meal will be provided immediately after conclusion of 2-hour time period and every 4 hours there- after, with 20 minutes paid at double time to consume meal (when working more than 2 hours beyond quitting time). In lieu of meal, $20 allowance may be paid. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Alberta Health Care insurance. Employer will contribute $0.02 per hour for each employee to CEFAP (Construction Employ- ee Family Assistance Program) program each month (after 90 days of employment) for service that is offered through BCABEAP (Boilermaker Con- tractors of Alberta Employee Assistance Program) and Homewood Health Solution. Dental: 100% for basic, major restorative. $2,500 combined maximum per year. 60% for orthodontics, $2,000 lifetime maximum. Vision: $800 per 24 months for lenses. $150 per 24 months for frames. $400 per 12 months for prescription safety glasses. $1,900 lifetime maximum for laser eye surgery. Paramedical: $300 per person per practitioner type (audiolo- gist, chiropractor, homeopath, massage therapist, naturopath, occupational therapist, osteo- path, podiatrist/chiropodist, speech therapist). Maximum $1,000 per person per practitio- ner per year. STD: Coverage of 67% of week- ly earnings. LTD: Coverage of 67% of monthly earnings, maximum $2,400. AD&D: Coverage of $75,000 (previously $50,000). Life insurance: Coverage of $75,000 (previously $50,000). Pension: Employer will con- tribute $2 per hour per employ- ee into Boilermakers' National Pension Plan (Canada) after 90 days of employment. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in family (spouse, adult interdependent partner, common-law partner, children (and partner/spouse), current or former foster-children, cur- rent or former wards, parents, stepparents, current or for- mer guardians (and partner/ spouse), current or former foster parents, siblings, half-sib- lings, stepsiblings (and partner/ spouse), grandchildren, step- grandchildren (and partner/ spouse), grandparents, step- grandparents, aunts, uncles, stepaunts, stepuncles (and part- ner/spouse), nieces, nephews (and partner/spouse), person employee isn't related to but considers to be close relative. Family members of employee's spouse, common-law or adult interdependent partner: chil- dren (and partner/spouse), cur- rent or former wards, parents, stepparents, foster-parents, sib- ling, half-siblings, stepsibling, grandparents, grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews). Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours at double time. Probationary period: 90 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 3 years for disciplinary actions. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide coveralls on ex- change basis (after 30 days of employment) or $100 cash pay- ments (previously $85 cash pay- ments) on June 1, Oct. 1, Feb. 1. Employer will provide gloves on exchange basis and accept- able hearing protection, safety glasses, hard hats, respiratory protection. Winter coats will be provided to employees who work outside. Personal effects: Employer is responsible for destruction by fire on employer's premises of personal effects owned by employee, maximum $250. Hearing aids: $1,500 per lifetime. AIRPORT SECURITY Garda Security Screening Ottawa (290 security officers, training staff ) and the United Steel, Paper and Forestry, Rubber, Manufacturing, Energy, and Industrial and Service Workers International Union (USW) Renewal agreement: Effec- tive April 1, 2018 to March 31, 2022. Signed on April 1, 2018. Shift premium: Employees who work scheduled spilt shifts in 1 day will be paid premium equal to 1 hour's wages for each day on which they work both scheduled split shifts. VRSC (volume, risk, stress, consequences bonus) monthly payment will be paid to full-time employees based on 5% of $21.34 (previously $19.96) multiplied by 2,080 hours, and divided by 12 to provide monthly payment.
