CONTINUING CARE CENTRE Hardisty Care Centre Edmonton (60 maintenance, food services, rehab, administration employees) and the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE), Local 047 Chapter 039 Renewal agreement: Effec- tive April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2021. Ratified on Jan. 21, 2020. Signed on March 13, 2020. Wage adjustments: Effective April 1, 2019: 0.5% Effective Oct. 1, 2019: 0.5% Effective April 1, 2020: 0.5% Effective Oct. 1, 2020: 0.5% Shift premium: Time and one-half for entire shift if em- ployee changes shifts without receiving 10 hours off duty. $2.50 per hour (previously $1.75 per hour) for evening shift. $1.75 per hour for night shift. $3 per hour (previously $2.25 per hour)for weekend day shift. $1.75 per hour for weekend evening shift (plus weekend premium of $2 per hour). $1.75 per hour for weekend night shift (plus weekend premium of $2 per hour). Paid holidays: 10 days, plus wellness day off with pay (must be taken within year it was earned). Vacations with pay: 75 hours or 4% to start, 112.5 hours or 6% after 3 years, 150 hours or 8% after 6 years, 187.5 hours of 10% after 15 years, 225 hours or 12% after 18 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7.5 hours per day or 37.5 hours per week. Time and one-half for all work on assigned day off; for all em- ployees who work concurrent shift at employer's request. Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, em- ployee pays 50% of premiums. Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums. 80% coverage for preventive and basic treat- ments. Maximum reimburse- ment $1,500 per year. Sick leave: 7.5 hours for every 165 hours worked maximum 90 hours. AD&D: Employee pays for 100% of premiums for cover- age of 1 times annual earnings. Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 1 times annual earnings. Pension: Employer will match employee's contribution, max- imum 2%, into voluntary RRSP owned by employee. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of husband, wife, com- mon-law spouse, child, parent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, grandparent, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchild, guardian. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoff. Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours' at basic rate of pay or actual number of hours worked at overtime rate, whichever is greater. Probationary period: 450 hours worked (period may be extended, maximum 150 hours worked). Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for letters of warning or discipline.
