Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 2 years, 4 weeks after 6 years, 5 weeks after 14 years, 6 weeks after 20 years. Employee terminating employ- ment will be paid out all ac- crued vacation pay. Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for all work on Sundays and holidays. Time may be banked, maximum 120 overtime hours (equivalent to 180 hours of straight time). Employees will be permitted to carry over maximum 120 hours of banked time. Any banked time hours exceeding limit will be paid out at employee's regu- lar rate of pay. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Em- ployer will contribute $1,000 per year towards health spend- ing account for each employee participating in group plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 100% reimburse- ment for basic and diagnostic. 50% reimbursement for den- tures. 50% reimbursement (dependent children only) for orthodontics. 50% reimburse- ment for major restorative. Weekly indemnity: Employee pays 100% of premiums. Sick leave: 0.8334 days for ev- ery month of service, maximum 15 days banked at any 1 time (leave will not be used until af- ter 1 month of service). LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Pension: All permanent em- ployees covered by agreement will become members of Lo- cal Authorities Pension Plan; employees, employer will make contributions to plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family; 7 days if funeral occurs outside Alberta. 3 days for death of other relatives; 5 days if funeral occurs outside Alberta. 1 day to attend funeral as pallbearer. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months or period greater than accumulated seniority at time of layoff, whichever is less; 24 months for sick leave without pay. Seniority will be frozen and will not accrue during periods while on layoff or on unpaid leave of absence during which employee is in receipt of indem- nity through LTD plan or on other leave of absence greater than 120 calendar days. Call-in pay: Employee may be paid or may bank minimum 3 hours at overtime rate of time and one-half for all hours worked. Probationary period: 6 contin- uous months from date of hire; 6 accumulated months for sea- sonal employees. Period may be extended once per employee for further 3 continuous months at discretion of employer. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months (adjusted for any leaves of absence greater than 30 calendar days) for written disci- plinary warning or reprimand; 24 months (adjusted for any leaves of absence greater than 30 calendar days) for disciplin- ary suspension without pay. Safety shoes: $200 per year for CSA-approved safety foot- wear with safety toe protection to each full-time employee; each seasonal employee who has worked minimum of 10 months, and who are required to wear such footwear (amount may be carried over, maximum $400, applied to purchase in second year). Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply protective clothing, safety equipment as required. Tool allowance: Employer will pay $500 per year to certified technicians, vehicle service- men. Employee may carry over unused funds, maximum $500 in any 1 year, into next calendar year.
