Ratified in April 2019. Signed May 1, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective May 1, 2019: 1.6% Effective May 1, 2020: 1.8% Effective May 1, 2021: 3% Paid holidays: 10 days. Vacations with pay: 11% paid on each cheque for vacation, statutory holiday pay. Overtime: Employer can re- quest employee to work up to 1 extra hour per day at time and one-half for emergency service and repair. Double time for all hours worked in excess of regular workday (maximum 8 hours) and on statutory holidays. Medical benefits: Employer pays $1.65 per hour into Local Union 46 Health Benefits Plan. Pension: Employer pays $9 per hour into Local Union 46 Pension Plan. Severance: 2 hours' pay at basic rate when employee's services are terminated by 2 hours prior to end of workday or shift. When employee is laid off and does not receive pay and other applicable benefits, employee in addition will be paid waiting time, including applicable benefits at regular straight-time rate, for all regu- lar hours until employee's pay is received. Tool allowance: Each journeyman steamfitter and plumber in high-rise residen- tial sector will be given set of new tools by contractor once only; these will become em- ployee's property. Contractor will replace broken tools when submitted by employees. Mileage: $0.46 per kilometre if employee is required to provide own transportation to site outside 20-mile radius of Toronto City Hall — from outside limit of zone and return — maximum $45.67 per day. Employee selected to transport workers and materi- als in company vehicle will be paid regular rate for time spent driving, maximum 1.5 hours per day. Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 3% increase): Journeyman: $49.73 rising in 1 step to $51.53 Entry-level: 60% of journey- man's wage One year of experience: 70% of journeyman's wage Foreman: $57.19 rising in 1 step to $59.26 First-year apprentice (40%): $19.89 rising in 1 step to $20.61 Fifth-year apprentice (85%): $42.27 rising in 1 step to $43.80 Editor's notes: Age ratio: 1 journeyman older than 55 years for every 5 journeymen employed, whenever possible. Job con- ditions: Heated, weatherproof accommodation will be provided by contractor on each project. When 6 or more employees are employed on any project, 1 flush toilet must be provided where site conditions permit. Training: Employer pays into Lo- cal 46, provincial, international training funds ($0.51 per hour into Local 46; $0.02 per hour into provincial; $0.05 per hour into international). De Novo: Employer pays $0.02 per hour into De Novo program fund. Wellness: Employer pays into $0.05 per hour into national wellness fund. Industry: Employer pays $0.10 per hour into industry fund. Organizing: Employer pays into $0.45 per hour into organizing fund. Parking: Employer will provide for vehicle parking but if parking facilities are not available, employer will reimburse employee: $17 per day (previously $16 per day). Effective May 1, 2021: $18 per day. Downtown core is Don Valley Parkway in east to Jane Street; south to Bloor Street West to Windemere Avenue in west; from Lake Ontario in south to Steeles Avenue in north.
