Ratified in April 2019. Signed on May 1, 2019. Wage adjustments: Effective May 1, 2019: 2.1% Effective May 3, 2020: 2.3% Effective May 2, 2021: 2.5% Shift premium: 9 hours' pay for 8 hours' work for employ- ees scheduled to work 5 shifts per week if majority of shift is outside 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. spread. 5% above labourers' base for working foreperson. Paid holidays: 10 days. Em- ployees will receive 6% of gross wages in lieu of statutory holi- day pay. Vacations with pay: Employ- ees will receive 4% of gross wages for vacation pay. Vaca- tion periods will be limited to maximum of 3 weeks per year, except every 3 years employee will be entitled to maximum 8 weeks Overtime: Time and one-half for all work performed outside regular working day and regu- lar working week. Double time for all work performed on Sun- days and statutory holidays. Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $3.45 per hour (previously $3.30 per hour) into Labourers' International Union of North America, Lo- cal 183 members' benefit fund. Effective May 3, 2021: $3.60 per hour. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Local 183 long- term care benefit fund. Pension: Employer will con- tribute $7.90 per hour (previ- ously $7.71 per hour) into Labourers' Pension Fund of Central and Eastern Canada. Effective May 3, 2021: $8.19 per hour. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Probationary period: 90 days. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months. Safety shoes: Employer will supply CSA-approved rub- ber boots and rainwear to all employees who are required to work during inclement weather and under abnormal conditions. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply CSA-approved safety helmets that are re- quired to be worn. Tool allowance: Employer will supply whatever tools are necessary to perform job func- tions assigned. Mileage: Employer will pay $0.50 per kilometre to com- pensate employees who use own vehicle for travelling within site or from site to site (does not apply to employees who receive per diem or are provided with vehicle). Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 2.5% in- crease): Labourers: $33.33 rising 1 step to 33.88 Handymen/servicemen: $35.01 rising 1 step to $35.56 Carpenter: $37.33 rising 1 step to $37.88 Foremen: $35 rising 1 step to $35.57 Panel installer: $34.18 rising 1 step to $34.74 Panel installer crew leader: $38.22 rising 1 step to $38.77 Panel installer job foreman: $42.52 rising 1 step to $43.07 Gap and repair: $50 rising 2 steps to $52 Editor's notes: Change area: Employer will provide separate, adequately heated change area where employees can wash, change, store clothing. Area will be securely locked, when not in use, insured against loss from fire or burglary maximum $500, minimum deductible of $100. Industry fund: Employer will contribute $0.50 per hour for each hour worked by each employee to Local 183 members' training fund. Upgrading fund: Employer will contribute $0.15 per hour for each hour worked by each employee to Local 183 members' upgrading fund. Organizing fund: Employer contribute $0.25 for each hour worked to Central and Eastern Canada Organizing Fund (CECOF). Parking: Employer will provide free parking at job site for any employees who uses own vehicle to report to job site. Vehicle allowance: Servicemen/handymen who supply own vehicle will receive minimum $600 per month.
