Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked for more than 7.5 consecutive hours in 1 shift or 75 hours biweekly. Employees who are required to stay in building because they work alone (and receive paid lunch) will receive time and one-half for hours worked greater than 8 in 1 day or 80 biweekly. Time and one-half for all hours worked on statutory holiday. Meal allowance: Employees who work more than 2 hours of overtime will be provided with meal by employer, in addition to any previous entitlement contained within regular shift. Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, em- ployee pays 30% of premiums for extended health plan. Life- time maximum of $25,000 for extended-health benefits. Dental: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums for basic plan. Vision: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums for plan providing $250 every 24 months (previ- ously $200 every 24 months). Sick leave: 0.833 days per month, maximum of 6 shifts (full-time) and 4 shifts (part- time) per year (previously 5 and 3, respectively). May not be carried over to next calendar year. Unused sick days are paid out at end of year at 50%. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $15,000. Pension: Voluntary employee contribution program for group RRSP (minimum 20 em- ployees must enroll for plan to be initiated). Bereavement leave: 4 shifts in 7-consecutive-day period for death of parent, steppar- ent, spouse, child, sibling. 3 shifts in 5-consecutive-day period for death of current parent-in-law, grandparent, great-grandparent, grandchild, current sibling-in-law, child-in- law. 1 paid day to attend funeral of aunt or uncle, blood niece or nephew. Seniority – recall rights: 24 months for layoffs or for em- ployee who has been on work- place safety insurance. 30 days for casual employees. 6 months for employee recalled to work in different classification from which employee was laid off. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay if called back after leaving work, unless additional hours exceed 8 hours in 24-hour pe- riod. Probationary period: 60 shifts worked for full-time employ- ees, 450 hours worked for part- time employees. May be ex- tended for additional 60 shifts or 450 hours or for any other period mutually agreed upon. Discipline: Sunset clause is 365 calendar days from date of warning; 447 calendar days from date of suspension. Severance: Entitlement pursu- ant to terms of Ontario Em- ployment Standards Act, 2000.
