midnight shift (starting at 11 p.m.) and afternoon shift (start- ing at 3 p.m.). Group leaders receive $0.35 per hour above current level of pay. Paid holidays: 10 days plus 6 or 7 days over Christmas pe- riod. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years. Overtime: Time and one- half for any hours worked on Monday to Friday over nor- mal 7.5-hour shift (providing full shift is worked) and first 5 hours of Saturday shift. Double time for any hours worked more than 12 between Monday and Friday, any hours worked over 5 on Saturday; any hours worked between 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 p.m. Sunday. If Saturday is worked in lieu of normal work day, then it is paid at straight time. Hours worked by midnight- shift employee who comes in early in Sunday (prior to 11 p.m. Saturday) will be paid double time for hours prior to 11 p.m. Meal allowance: Meal ticket voucher of $5 for employees re- quired to work 4 or more hours of overtime immediately after completion of shift without pri- or notice (voucher will expire after 48 hours and be 1-time usage voucher). Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage providing major medical, drugs for employees and dependants. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of basic dental and orthodontic care for employees and dependants. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of eye exams ($85 every 24 months) and prescription eyeglasses or contact lens ($300 every 24 months) . Paramedical: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $500 per year for chiropractic; $550 per year for osteopath, podiatrist, massage therapy, naturopath, physiotherapy, acupuncture, laser eye surgery (paramedical flex-care). Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Sick leave: Payment for first day of accident or hospitaliza- tion. STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 60% of weekly earnings from fourth day of sickness up to 39 weeks for each separate disability. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of 60% of base wage after expiry of ac- cident and sickness benefits. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $50,000 for regular full-time employees. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $60,000 for regular full-time employees. Employee-paid op- tion for up to $100,000. Pension: DC plan: Employer contributes 2% to 3.25% of em- ployee's earnings plus 50% of employee's contribution up to 2% of employee's earnings. Bereavement leave: 4 paid days for death of spouse, parent, child, sibling, parent- in-law, sibling-in-law, grand- parent, grandparent-in-law, child-in-law, grandchild. Seniority – recall rights: Greater of 24 months or length of service. Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours' pay when called back after leav- ing work. Probationary period: 90 days during period of 6 consecutive months. Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for less severe dis- cipline, 24 months for more severe discipline. Severance: 3 weeks' pay for each completed year of service, or part thereof, maximum of 65 weeks' pay. Tool allowance: Employer will reimburse all skilled trades maximum $525 per year, in- cluding taxes, for job-related tools to facilitate skilled trades replacing worn or broken tools. Heavy/power, specialized tools will be made available to skilled trades as required for particular task and tools will remain com- pany property. Signed on Oct. 27, 2020 Shift premium: Employee will be paid time and one-half if schedule is changed without sufficient notice (24 hours) for all hours worked outside previ- ous schedule until expiry of required notice. Time and one- half when employee is instruct- ed to report before scheduled starting time for any hours employee works before sched- uled starting time. Double time for work performed on Sunday (except for those whose work regularly falls on Sunday). $0.60 per hour for work performed on regular shift if 5 or more scheduled hours fall between 4 p.m. and 5 a.m. Time and one- half for Saturday hours for em- ployees whose schedule calls for work on calendar Saturdays; for Sunday work for employees working on shifts regularly scheduled to commence before 8 p.m. on Sundays. $0.45 per hour for all hours worked as trainer. $0.50 per hour utility- person premium. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: Vacation with pay in accordance with regulations of Alberta to start, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. Periods will not be accumu- lated from year to year and unused vacation will be paid out at end of vacation season (March 31). Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours employees are required to work in any day in excess of number of hours prescribed in schedule for day. Double for additional hours if employee works 10 continuous hours. Meal allowance: Employer will provide meal if employees work more than 2 hours after scheduled quitting time or lon- ger than 10 continuous hours; if work continues for 5 hours beyond first allowance, another meal will be provided. Em- ployees will be provided with meal if required to work more than 5 hours on non-scheduled days (not to include paid public holidays falling on scheduled work days) or cash equivalent of $8 added to net earnings for that week.
