PETROCHEMICALS CONSTRUCTION PCL Energy Provincewide, Alberta (3,800 electricians, plumbers, pipefitters, carpenters, structural ironworkers, labourers) and the Construction Workers Union, CLAC Local 63 Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2020 to Sept. 30, 2022. Signed on Jan. 31, 2020. Shift premium: $2.50 per hour for lead-hands. $5 per hour for foremen. $7.50 per hour for general foremen. $1 per hour for dual ticket (when hired with intention to use both tickets or performs both tasks regularly). $1.50 per hour for alloy welder (when welding alloy and must demonstrate full competency). $1.50 per hour for steward; $3 per hour for chief steward. $3 per hour for night shift (when majority of hours are between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m.). Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 6% of base wage rate for all hours worked as vacation pay and will be paid to employees on each pay- cheque. Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business require- ments and requests will not be unreasonably denied. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 8 regular straight-time hours per day and 40 regular straight-time hours per week. Time and one-half for all work on any scheduled day off. Meal allowance: $40 in lieu of meal or meal will be provided for employees who work be- yond 12 hours in 1 day. Medical benefits: Employees are eligible to receive cover- age on first of month follow- ing 350 hours worked. Em- ployer will contribute $2.08 per hour worked into CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund. Dental: Coverage of 100% up to $2,000 per person annual for basic services; 50% maximum $2,000 per person annual for major services; 50% maximum $3,000 lifetime maximum per child younger than 19 for orth- odontic. Vision: Coverage of $300 per year for children younger than 21; $300 every 2 years for all family members 21 and older. Paramedical: Coverage for massage therapy with maxi- mum $50 per visit (doctor's referral required). STD: Coverage of 60% of week- ly basic earnings, maximum $600 per week payable after first day of accident or hospi- talization; 14th day of illness, maximum 119 days (1/14/119). LTD: Coverage of 60% of earn- ings, maximum $2,600 per month, per employee, payable after 119 days until age 65 (119/65). AD&D: Coverage of $100,000. Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000. Pension: Employer will con- tribute 4% into CLAC RSP, administered by CLAC group RSP board of trustees. Em- ployer will contribute 4% into CLAC pension plan. Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, child, parents, brother, sister. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay at appropriate rate. Probationary period: 90 cal- endar days. Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots supplied by employees. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide for cleaning of em- ployer-supplied fire-retardant coveralls. Tool allowance: Where re- quired by employer, trades- men will supply own tools common to trade. Specialty and power tools will be pro- vided by employer. Employer will supply adequate security for all tool storage on-site. Mileage: Employer will pay to each employee transporta- tion cost at maximum rate as established by CRA per road kilometre for each day worked or reported for work, from edge of 55-kilometre radius free zone to project and re- turn.
