COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS disability plan providing 70% of monthly income up to $4,000 after waiting period of 120 days. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for group life insurance plan with minimum amount of $15,000 for full-time employees. Pension: Employer and employees share contribu- tions to Ontario Municipal Employee's Retirement System Plan (OMERS). Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of spouse, child, stepchild, parent, stepparent. 3 paid days for death of grand- child, grandparent, sibling, stepsibling, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 15 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours' pay at time and one-half for call-in outside of normal hours of work. Effective Jan. 3, 2022: 1 hour of pay at straight- time for reporting and appro- priate overtime rates. $25 per day (previously $22 per day) while on-call for traffic signal electricians, compliance inspectors – wastewater, water compliance technicians, and employees in traffic mainte- nance – signs during winter operations. Probationary period: 90 worked days or such other extended period of time as may be mutually agreed upon (previously 45 worked days in 4-month period). Safety shoes: Up to $160 per year for employees who require CSA-approved safety footwear. Up to $130 once during employment for co-op students who require CSA-approved footwear. Uniforms/clothing: All personnel will be supplied with protective clothing or safety apparel as required. Building inspection and outside traffic employees receive rain suits. Active full-time wastewater compliance inspectors, traffic department employees, construction inspector/opera- tors, development inspectors, development inspector/coordi- nators, development/inspector/ operators, landfill inspec- tors, collection inspectors, operational services inspec- tors, surveyors, and surveyors' assistants receive $450 per year (previously $430) to select items from clothing and footwear list provided by employer for active traffic employees and certain inspectors, along with following at start of their employment: 5 pairs work pants, 3 long-sleeve work shirts, 3 short-sleeve work shirts, 1 winter coat or spring jacket. New municipal law enforcement officers and prop- erty standards officers receive 5 pairs work pants, 10 work shirts, 2 work sweaters, 1 work winter coat, and 1 work spring jacket plus 2 pairs of work pants and 2 work shirts annually. New full-time facilities maintenance operators, water compliance technicians, and building inspectors receive 5 work shirts, 1 work winter coat, and 1 work spring jacket plus 2 work shirts annually.
