years, 2.5 days per month after 15 years. Employees may not carry over more vacation leave credits than can be earned in 1 year. Vacation leave credits exceeding 1-year entitlement will be liquidated in March. Travel time: Vacations will be lengthened by 1 working day for travel time of 8 hours or more and monies for 1 day will be paid prior to employees' vacation period. Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked before or after regular scheduled hours; double time after 4 hours of overtime or on Sunday or subsequent day of rest. Employer may provide — at employee's request — equiva- lent leave with pay at appro- priate overtime rate to be taken at time mutually agreeable to employer, employee. Medical benefits: Northern Employee Benefits Service (NEBS) group benefit plan. Sick leave: 1.25 days per month. Pension: Northern Employee Benefits Services (NEBS) pension plan. Bereavement leave: 6 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, common-law spouse, child, stepchild, adopted child, grandparent, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother-in-law, daughter-in- law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, any relative permanently residing in employee's house- hold). 1 day for death in extended family (aunt, uncle, niece, nephew). Call-in pay: Greater of compensation at appropriate overtime rate or compensation equivalent to 4 hours' pay at straight-time rate. Probationary period: 9 months; 12 months for classi- fications of foreman and recre- ation leader; 3 months after employee has been transferred or promoted. Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for any document, written statement related to disciplinary action. Severance: 2 weeks' pay for first year of employment; 2 weeks' pay for second year of employment; 1 week's pay for each succeeding year of employment. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will ensure that all protective devices, clothing, other equip- ment necessary to properly protect employees will be provided and maintained at no cost to employee. Employer will provide and replace summer leather gloves, winter insulated gloves for airport maintainers, assistant mechanics, building maintainers, (water, sewage and garbage) drivers, heavy equipment operators, foreman, mechanics. Employer agrees to reimburse eligible employees: $100 for summer coveralls; $450 for winter coveralls; $200 for summer CSA-approved work boots; $300 for winter CSA-approved work boots. Tool allowance: $0.25 per hour for mechanics, assistant mechanics, hamlet mainte- nance men. Social justice fund: Employer will contribute $0.01 per hour worked to PSAC Social Justice Fund.
