Dental: Public Service Dental Care Plan. Sick leave: 9.375 hours for each calendar month with 75 paid hours, or 10 hours for each calendar months with 80 paid hours. Shift workers receive additional 1.25 hours for each calendar month with 75 paid hours to maximum of 112.5 per year, or 1.33 hours for each calendar month with 80 paid hours up to 120 per year. Up to 187.5 hours may be given in advance and deducted from subsequently earned credits. Bereavement leave: 5 paid days in 1 period of 7 consecu- tive calendar days or 2 periods for death of parent, stepparent, foster-parent, sibling, stepsibling, spouse, common-law partner, child, stepchild, foster-child, ward, grandchild, parent-in-law, child-in-law, grandparent, any relative permanently residing in employee's household, person who stands in place of relative. Must include day of memorial or begin within 2 days following death. 1 paid day for death of sibling-in-law or grandparents of spouse. Up to 3 additional paid days may be given for travel. Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours' pay at overtime rate when called back to work on holiday or day of rest or after employee has left work. One half-hour of pay for each 4-hour period on standby duty. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months. Severance: For first layoff, 2 weeks' pay for first year of continuous employment plus 1 week's pay for each additional complete year of employ- ment and partial week's pay for additional partial year of employment. 3 weeks' pay for first year of employment after 10 years of service, 4 weeks' pay for first year after 20 years of service. For second layoff or severance termination, 1 week's pay for each year of continuous employment plus partial week's pay for any additional partial year of employment.
