of notice isn't given for shift change (24 hours in emergency situations) or if 9 hours of rest between shifts isn't provided. $1.75 per hour (previously $1.50 per hour) for any straight-time hours worked outside 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and for all straight-time hours worked on Saturdays, Sundays. $2 per hour for employees assigned crew-chief duties. Paid holidays: 11 days. Employees are entitled to 2 hours off on Christmas Eve (extra time off will be given on rotating basis in order to not interrupt continuous service of employer). 1 floating holiday each year will be given to employees to start; 2 floating holidays each year to employees who have completed 15 years of service (floating holidays may be accrued, maximum 4 days). Vacations with pay: 120 hours to start, 160 hours after 6 years, 200 hours after 11 years, 240 hours after 16 years, 280 hours after 21 years, 320 hours after 26 years, 360 hours after 31 years. Vacation hours may be accumu- lated, maximum 400 hours. Overtime: Double time for work outside regular hours; on days off; on holidays. Time may be banked and taken as time off, maximum 80 hours in bank. Employer will pay out any remaining banked over- time in first pay period after every Dec. 1. Overtime accu- mulating during December can be carried over into next calendar year. Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 25% of premiums for Alberta Health Care Insurance. Employer pays 100% of premiums for extended health plan. Employer will provide $500 per year ($250 per year for part-time employees) to full-time employees for health and wellness account. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Sick leave: 1.6 days for every month of employment, maximum 180 days. LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums. Pension: Every eligible employee will join Local Authorities Pension Plan. Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (son, daughter, current spouse (including common-law spouse), mother, father, sister, brother, stepparents, step- children, stepsiblings, step- grandchildren, mother in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent of spouse, legal guardian). Maximum 2 additional days for travel time, if distance travelled is greater than 450 kilometres from Grande Prairie. Seniority – recall rights: 1 year after layoffs; 90 working days if employee is transferred to supervisory position or other position not covered by agreement. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at overtime rates. Probationary period: First 6 months served. Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for disciplinary records. Safety shoes: $400, after 6 months of service, for employees who require safety footwear as condition of employment. Uniforms/clothing: $200 for aquatic assistants, instructors, lifeguards (with 6 months of service) for pool deck swim- wear, footwear on Jan. 1 of ever odd numbered year Tool allowance: $75 per month will be paid to jour- neyman mechanics 1 and 2 and welders, providing customary tools of trade are carried.
