COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS DAIRY PRODUCTION Lactalis Canada Winchester, Ont. (198 dairy manufacturing workers) and Unifor, Local 462 Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2025. Ratified in September 2020. Signed on Dec. 17, 2020. Wage adjustments: Effective April 1, 2020: 2% Effective April 1, 2021: 2.25% Effective April 1, 2022: 2.25% Effective April 1, 2023: 2.5% Effective April 1, 2024: 2.5% Shift premium: $0.56 per hour rising in 3 steps to $0.65 per hour, for 4 p.m. to midnight shift (regular shift) and 6 p.m. to midnight shift (irregular shift). $0.68 per hour rising in 3 steps to $0.77 per hour for midnight to 8 a.m. shift (regular shift) and midnight to 6 a.m. shift (irregular shift). Paid holidays: 13 days including 2 floating days. Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 26 years (6 weeks after 25 years as of Jan. 1, 2023). Overtime: Time and one-half for all time worked in excess of 40 hours in workweek, 8 hours in any 1 day, on scheduled day off, and on Saturdays, for employees on 8-hour shifts. For employees on 12-hour shifts, time and one-half for all work on Saturdays. Double time for all work performed on Sundays. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Ontario Health Insurance Plan, semi-private hospital benefit plan, major medical plan. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums plan with 100% coverage for basic services, 60% coverage restorative services, 50% coverage of orthodontic services. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage providing $300 every 24 months and $90 every 24 months for eye exams, for employees, spouses, dependants. Paramedical: Employer pays 100% of premiums for plan covering 100% after payment of OHIP-level coverage. Weekly indemnity: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 66 2/3 of earnings, payable from first day of absence if disability is due to non-occupational accident or sickness requiring hospitalization. Payable from fourth day if not requiring hospitalization, unless sickness is 3 days or less. LTD: 60% of regular earn- ings up to $4,200 per months, beginning on fifty-third week of disability. Employee must have 5 years' seniority to be eligible. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $58,000 per employee. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for life insurance plan covering $58,000 per employee, $5,000 per spouse and $2,000 per employee's child. Pension: DB plan. Employer matches first 2% of salary employee contributes and increases 0.5% for every 1% increase of employee contribu- tion up to 6%. Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of spouse, common-law partner, same- sex partner, child, stepchild, parent, stepparent. 3 paid days for death of parent-in-law, sibling, step-sibling. 2 paid days for death of grandparent or grandchild. 1 paid day for sibling-in-law or spouse's grandparent. Seniority – recall rights: 12 months. Employee on perma- nent layoff may choose to retain recall rights for up to 24 months, during which they will receive benefits for 13-week temporary layoff period plus additional 6 months. Call-in pay: Time and one-half for hours worked, minimum of 4 hours, if called in after completing shift and leaving work. 4 hours' regular pay when less than 11 hours between shifts and 16 hours rest between each scheduled series of shifts. Probationary period: 640 hours worked. Severance: $1,000 per year of service or part thereof to waive right of recall, after 13 weeks from layoff. Safety shoes: $250 per year reimbursement for safety footwear that meets company standards upon completion of probationary period. Employer will establish program to replace worn safety footwear for all employees who have acquired seniority providing selection of footwear that meets company standards. Uniforms/clothing: Employer supplies employees with over- alls and smocks, or shirts, if necessary.
