COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS COLLECTIVE AGREEMENTS allowance. $3.50 per hour (previously $3 per hour) worked for employees work- ing afternoon shift defined as beginning at 8 a.m. and before 9 p.m. or midnight shift de- fined as beginning between 9 pm. and 2 a.m. $3.50 per hour (previously $3 per hour) for all straight-time hours worked on compressed workweek night shifts. First shift at time and one-half for employee not given 24 hours advance notice prior to start of new shift. 2 hours of pay to carry out move (if done outside work hours) should employee residing in camp accommodation be requested by employer to an- other room or camp. Paid holidays: 11 days. Vacations with pay: 6% to start, 7% after 3 years, 8% after 7 years, 9% after 10 years, 10% after 12 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for first 12 hours of work on scheduled days off; double time thereafter. Meal allowance: Employer will provide 1 meal for second meal break when employee works overtime and works more than 10 hours (subsequent meals will also be provided as near regular 4-hour intervals as pos- sible). Medical benefits: Employer contributes $3.35 per hour (Provincial Alberta Boiler- makers, Local, 146). Employer contributes $1.60 per hour (Provincial Alberta Carpen- ters, Local, 1325). Pension: Employer contrib- utes $6 per hour (Provincial Alberta Boilermakers, Local, 146). Employer contributes $6.60 per hour (Provincial Al- berta Carpenters, Local, 1325). Bereavement leave: 3 days (after 3 years of service) for death in immediate family (spouse, child, parent, parent- in-law, grandparent, sibling). Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours of pay at double time; time and one-half for work af- ter 2 hours. Safety shoes: $150 inclusive of GST if employee works in areas where abnormal wear to approved footwear is incurred and footwear will be replaced by employer. Uniforms/clothing: Employer will issue up to 2 pairs of cov- eralls to long-term employees each 12 months. Moving costs: $1,000 lump sum to offset cost to relocate employee's family to Fort McMurray. Employer will also reimburse cost for relocating employee's furniture and personal belongings, maximum 5,000 lbs from Edmonton to Fort McMurray. Employer will pay contract towing costs from Edmon- ton to Fort McMurray, maximum $650. Administration fund: Employer will contribute $0.10 per hour worked to General Presidents' Maintenance Industry Administration Fund. Qualifying tests: $175 payment (previously $150 payment) for each specialty ticket which employer requires them to successfully test for or re-qualify as specialty welders, with greater than 2 years of service. FITNESS CENTRES Goodlife Fitness Centres Toronto/Ajax/Peterborough/Oshawa, Ontario (450 personal/group trainers) and the Workers United Canada Council (WUCC), Locals 1031, 1229, 7816, 8819, 5421 Renewal agreement: Effective June 1, 2021 to May 31, 2022. Ratified in May 2021. Signed on June 1, 2021. Shift premium: In addition to premium and non-premium pay, employees are paid equiva- lent of 2.5 hours every pay period — at non-premium meeting rate — for program- ming, booking potential sheets, weekly focus sheets, kick-off sheets, scheduling clients, and correspondence to clients and management. Personal trainers leading team training sessions will be paid amount equal to 45% of per-session revenue col- lected. Employees who meet or exceed 120 hours of premium training in 1 month will receive top-up of $2 per session. Em- ployees who meet or exceed av- erage of 120 hours of premium training in employer's fiscal quarter will receive top-up of $2 per session in each of months in that quarter. Paid holidays: 9 days.
