Train- ing time: Where training occurs on employee's scheduled day off, employee will be paid at time and one-half for all hours of training, minimum credit of 4 hours. Travel to and from work: Taxis will be provided for employees who are required to travel at hours when other public transportation is not available (will only be paid for portion of employee's travel where public trans- portation is not available) and will be reimbursed, maximum $20 per shift and maximum may be exceeded, where authorized. Parking: $7 per shift for parking for employees working in Toronto or Vancouver who are required to travel using own vehicle to and from work between 1:30 a.m. to 6 a.m. when public transportation is not available. Relocation: When employee relocates, employee will be reimbursed for house-hunting trip, moving of household effects, transportation and travel accommodation, maximum per family of $11,000. Wage adjustments: Effective Jan. 1, 2021: 1% Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 1% Shift premium: $1.25 per hour for weekday evenings (4 p.m. to midnight) and weekend days (7 a.m. to 4 p.m.). $2 per hour for weekday overnights (midnight to 7 a.m.). $1.75 for weekend evenings (4 p.m. to midnight). $2.50 per hour for weekend overnights (midnight to 7 a.m.). Paid holidays: 12 days includ- ing 1 floater day. In addition, half-day before Christmas and half-day before New Year's Day, except when Christmas and New Year's Day fall on Sunday or Monday. Vacations with pay: 3 weeks af- ter 1 year, 4 weeks after 7 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 24 years. Overtime: Time and one-half for work in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Employees who are normally required to work on Saturday or Sunday get time and one-half for overtime worked on Satur- day and double time for over- time worked on Sunday. Meal allowance: $8 if employee is required to work 4 continuous hours or more of overtime, un- less meal is supplied. Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for ex- tended health care plan single or family coverage. Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $25 annual deductible of full reimbursement of preventative procedures up to $2,000 per year per person and basic pro- cedures, 50% reimbursement of major and orthodontic proce- dures with maximum lifetime orthodontic payment per child of $3,000. Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $450 every 2 years. Paramedical: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $575 per year for massage therapy, $575 per year for chiro- practic treatment, $400 every 3 years for orthotic inserts, $1,500 per family per calendar year for psychologist, registered psycho- therapist, marriage therapist, family therapist, or certified counsellor with Masters of So- cial Work (MSW) degree. Sick leave: 6 days per calendar year (42 hours per year for spe- cial and rotating shifts). May be used for doctor, medical, dentist appointments with approval from immediate supervisor or to top up workers' compensa- tion benefits. STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage equal to 75% of employee's regular earnings up to and including 165th consecutive calendar day following date that disability commenced. Can be topped up from sick leave, lieu time, vaca- tion banks, vacation reserve banks, personal leave banks in that order. LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage equal to 70% of employee's regular earn- ings beginning on 166th con- secutive calendar day following date that disability commenced up to 2 years when employee can't perform their own occupa- tion. AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage equal to employee's base salary. Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of twice employee's base salary. Pension: All permanent and probationary employees will be enrolled in OMERS plan in ac- cordance with OMERS policy. Bereavement leave: 5 paid working days for death of spouse, child, stepchild. 4 paid working days for death of par- ent, stepparent, sibling, grand- child, grandparent, parent-in- law, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, same relationship associated with common law. 1 paid work- ing day to attend funeral of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, aunt-in- law, uncle-in-law, grandparent- in-law. Seniority – recall rights: 24 months. Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours at applicable overtime rate.
