uch of human resources has
traditionally been viewed
as a mere support function
for recruiting personnel,
creating workplace policies
and making sure employees
follow them — but not for Lululemon Athletica's director of
global people potential, Jaci Edgeworth.
As the name of her department suggests, Edgeworth says
one of her main roles at the Vancouver-based yoga and sports
apparel company that employs 2,200 workers in Canada and
another 2,600 in the United States is to "hire really great
people and be able to unleash their potential."
And that's why every employee is required to set three goals
— career, personal and health — to create a vision for their
ideal life and identify what needs to be done to achieve it.
