health and career goals, Edgeworth is already ticking a few boxes off her list. For her goal of joining a non-profit board of directors, she will be vice-chair of the 2014 Special Olympics Canada Summer Games board. Health-wise, Edgeworth has been maintaining her aim to practise yoga two to three times per week and she is training for her personal best marathon and Grand Final bike races. But she still has things to work on. "I'm a non-traditional HR professional. What I see in HR is really the ability to be strategic partners to drive a business forward," she says. "No matter how big or how structured a company is, or how big it is, you don't have to make every decision based on a rule, process or policy. What's important is to take into consideration one human being at a time." /APRIL FONG is a Toronto-based freelance writer.
