HR BY THE NUMBERS Pink-collar career Compensation by sector Compensation can vary wildly depending on industry. While there are plenty of men in HR, at least 70 per cent of employees with an HR job title in PayScale's Canadian database are female. But for the top role — vice-president of HR — men make up 51 per cent, the only category where there are more men than women.
